    Smart move, really.

    Agreed.
Also, I have to admit I was surprised he made that move.  On the other hand, it's Neil thing.  He's always stood up for what he believes.  I'm guessing his pulling out had something to do with pressure from Daryl, perhaps the band members and their families as well.    Also, the situation there has escalated recently. Or maybe a bad dream?  Who knows.

It is a war zone. Good idea but not realistic.

Yeah, especially with the escalated bombing happening.  Just not a "happener".

Bachman Turner Overdrive just released a song featuring Uncle Neil. BTO’s first new track in 40 years and an ode to Winnipeg.
I saw Bachman on a solo tour last
summer (he was awesome!) and plan on seeing BTO in April as well. And rumour has it he’s touring with Burton Cummings in 2026 on a Guess Who reunion tour! Pretty cool these old canucks are still touring/putting out tunes.

ick. that song is cheesy as all f***. I like the Guess Who, but I have never liked Bachman's lyrics in BTO. Almost seemed kid-like in their simplicity. It's almost like he comes up with an idea "let's write a song about (subject)" and then has to build lyrics around it, which to me, never works well.
Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall

Slim chance, but anyone have a presale code for the Lakefield show on May 23? Doesn’t look like anything is available for NYA members so far.

Don't seem to be many going to the documentary here in town on thursday.

I might skip it also, and instead leave and go back home for easter

I'd have to agree. The filmmaking was terrible. And it needed an editor. And some indication of who the various people were, and where they were, and... it was just not a good movie.
