Bethel Woods is great except for getting out of there. Not that far from the original woodstock site. Great tailgating and atmosphere. Jones Beach is a horrible experience IMHO. Edit: Unless you actually go to the beach during the day. Then that can be a nice day.
Richmond is a lot of fun. So many great restaurants and (if it's your thing) breweries.
You are on point. We actually do have some great restaurants considering the size of the city. And a shit-ton of breweries if that is your thing. Unfortunately I can't think of many near the new ampitheater. Most are in Scott's Addition.

That's only a quick cab ride though!
I started dating my wife in 2006. Richmond has exploded since those days. I'd consider moving there if I wasn't tied to a New York pension (I love NY too!).

I like the venue at Jones Beach, but it is a bitch to get in and out of. I have to take a subway, a train, and a bus. The wait for that bus after the shows is a nightmare. Last time I was there was for Soundgarden/NIN. My friend's boyfriend drove us in his car. That was a much better experience. We did go early to go to the beach, but the weather was crappy. I have been there many times, so what is one more time if I have to. It is better than MetLife for sure.
Hey question(s). The presale for NYA members... do they provide a specific code for each person or is there a general access one? If the latter, and if someone was kind enough to share it with me, I would be eternally grateful.

I agree that it is better than MetLife. There was a time when I really enjoyed that venue overlooking the water. Rafts and boats behind the stage and everyone having fun. Spectacular sunsets. But the lot is no fun anymore. The police took the fun out of that place. And on a windy night the sound is terrible. I guess if it all aligns it could be a great night.

I read on a few sites that the code for the Thursday presale is DUET but I can’t fully confirm that yet.

It’s worth noting that NYA presales is open to existing annual members, meaning you can’t sign up today just to get access to the presale

'Thanks for getting in touch. Yes- you can still buy an NYA subscription and receive a code for the tomorrow's presales'
He has a monthly subscription which it does not include presales.
