The seats aren't really that great though. Maybe I was too late.
Can't wait to get my MMJ cherry popped!
i joined too, but accidentally ordered the VIP soundcheck thingy (wasn't paying attention  ) I e-mailed them asking to void it. hopefully they will.
and judging by their website all sales are final, so that kinda sucks.

Sounds cool to go see the soundcheck though, if you can make it. I knew I would never get down there early enough.

A little confused.
I got an email saying i could get pre sale tickets by joining for free for a week.
So i signed up for it but went to tickets and it seems if i want to get the tickets i have to pay the 30 bucks to actually join roll call to get the tickets is that the case or at noon when they go on sale will that go away.
sorry i'm just confused :?
Never mind it all worked out just fine. Did not need to buy membership just put the code in for the week free tix purchased for the alpharetta show

I'm kinda surprised at the lack of outrage about the big price hike in tickets for this tour.
2011 St. Louis - $44.60
2012 St. Louis - $66.00
I know Band Of Horses is responsible for some of that, but still...
i can assure you that band of horses has absolutely nothing to do with the price increase of tickets
weird that st. louis of all cities seems to have the most expensive tickets, according to this.
last two tours i've paid about $52 per ticket
this tour my tickets ranged from $55-$59. (these are prices after fees which is important to note)
20 bucks seems extreme, assuming you bought equal tickets to those you got in 2011, but who the hell is gonna bitch about 7 bucks?
also, these seats that are in the 50-60 dollar range are great, if you get them at the right time.
AND, you also have the option at the outdoor venues to sit in the lawn for 40 bucks if $60 is too rich for your blood. i really don't understand the complaint. it's not like they're doing a $60 bar tour. these big rock shows cost a lot of money to put on. I can't imagine that MMJ is getting filthy rich off of ticket sales, but what do i know...

I take the whole thing back. I looked up every show and they're all $55 or less except Chicago ($72.60), St. Louis ($66) and Toronto ($62.90).
I still think that BOH is at least some of the reason for the increase. They're a much bigger band, they're gonna want more $$$ to open for MMJ than Neko Case or Delta Spirit did last year. Plus I'm sure they have more gear and crew people.
I wonder if St Louis price hike has to do with the venue. It's newly remodeled, very classy place. Caught Wilco there last year and ushers actually walked all the attendees to their seats.
There is no soundcheck option for NYC anyway, but do they typically play rare songs in the soundcheck?
not the one i saw. to be honest, you're not really missing much. it's cool to do once, but not really necessary.
however, the cool thing about how they're doing it this year is that you get the silk-screened show poster. so essentially you're just paying 10 bucks for the soundcheck. not too bad...which is why i got soundcheck for philly.
last year, i got some crappy album promo poster which was autographed by the band. cool that it was autographed, but the poster was so shitty that it wasn't worth saving. i bought an autographed vinyl instead, and gave the poster to a friend.
Glad I held out for public sale. 5th row center for the mann :corn: How'd everyone do?
that's awesome. congrats. i'm in the 7th row right side but closer to center. we'll both have amazing seats. have you ever been to the mann? it's a great venue.

so did you get row A or row E?
I've never been to the Mann or MMJ. I've always like the band since It Still Moves but really starting loving them about 2 years ago. I have row B so I guess it's technically the 5th row. I cant wait for august!
