I'd do it if it was George Bush or Ronald Reagan or any President.....you never know I might learn something from anyone of them.

yes I agree, I/ we can talk political crap about any president but untill you meet them face to face and talk with them you just don't know what kind of person they are.

I am pretty sure that I would enjoy myself with any President (Including Carter) vs this one we have now. I would take the dinner and I would ask only one question. "Mr President, do you love America?" At that point I think I will know all I need to know about him. It could turn out good, who knows.

What kind of question is that?

First of all, obviously he is going to say yes, so how would that enlighten you?

Second, the answer should probably be no. How do love an inanimate object? Does America love you back? Are you sexually involved with America, or is it strictly platonic?

I like living in America, but basically the only reason I do is because I am born here and all of my friends and family are here. If I was born in France, I am sure I would like France. If I was born in Japan, I am sure I would like Japan. I want the best for our country, but that is just selfish because it benefits me.

Ask him how he plans to solve our debt issues. Why get involved in Libya, but not Syria. Wouldn't that be more constructive?

i wonder if we could have a beer together
missed out on the last barroom get together Barry had @ the Whitehouse

I would love to sit down with him for a while.
I might not even want to talk politics.
I would love to see what kind of a man he really is.

I would have loved to do the same with GW but for totally different reasons.
I think he is hilarious! And he doesn't even know it, that's the best part

Saw this. Got probably half a dozen emails to join him at George Clooney's house for dinner... IF I was chosen and IF I donated $3 or more to the campaign.

You all missed my point, of course he would say he loves America but I could then look him and theeye and tell he is lying. If you think this bum is doing a good job, your nuts.

I think he's doing a shit job, but he's better than Mitt, and don't even get me started on W.

I don't totally disagree but at least Mitt ran a business and has SOME experience.

I'd like to ask him how many "why the fuck did I run for POTUS?" moments he has during a given week. :D

And, is it worth it? You make a sub-standard salary compared to what you are tasked for. 1/3 of the nation hates your guts and thinks you are trying to ruin America based on the party designation behind your name. A low-level V.P. at GE probably made more in stock options last year then you will clear in four years. And you have to have armed guards to follow you around for the rest of your life because there is a good chance someone wants to kill you. What is the upside???

(this would be followed by Obama half-hazardly staring off into the distance before snapping to and ordering scotch on the rocks :) )

running a business is completely different than running the united states government.

running a government entails more than a SWOT analysis and making a profit....

Agreed - though I think Ron Paul would be entertaining as hell!

As for running the government, I consider it in some ways tantamount to managing your own family or household. Common sense dictates frugality when necessary, and spending less than you earn. I realize there's more to it than that, but heeding those particular practices seems like sound judgment to me.
