Coming up from New Orleans for the Camden show(s). Anyone recommend any hotels? From everything I read, the arena area is pretty shitty. What is everyone else doing?

There is a boat you can take from the Philly side (Penn's Landing I think) to Camden in the summertime...and stay in Philly. I did that a few years ago (instead of staying in Camden) and it worked out really well. I don't remember what hotel I stayed at...but Philly is definitely more fun post-show as well. I'll be doing the same thing if I get tickets to the 6/20 show (if added). I'm sure there will be some more info as the date gets closer.

Penns Landing is where you can get the ferry to the show...it brings you right to the arena. And on the Philly side there are tons of hotels in walking or taxi distance to the ferry dock. Camden isn't a good place to stay!!! As BeAStar says, the post party will be much more rockin in Philly!!!! Tons of people take the ferry and although I never have, I heard it is like a party going over the DE and everyone follows each other to the bars!!

but only the first one is showing up on the hilton website
  • When they played Camden in 2005 I stayed at The Quality Inn in Gloucester City. It's only a couple of miles away and was very nice. Didn't notice alot of "undesireables" about. I found it on orbitz.com and it's under $100 a night.

Here's the Web Site through QualityInn.com

stay in hotels in Mount Laurel or Cherry Hill and you will be fine.

Or stay at my house and help offset the $ i am spending on these shows!!
