do they even sell natty in philly? :)

as for the drunken review, i'll consider it.

natty is widely available as well as natty ice... think I might have to bring some Mickey's :D

As someone who once drove in a pickup truck packed with 60 cases of Natty over the bridge from Camden into Philly, I can attest that Natty flows like wine in the Philly metropolitan area.

fanch...I would never dream of talking smack about natty...it was very good to me in high school as well...plus I'm looking forward to your natty induced review of the new album...

Excellent! I got nothin but respect for ya.

    Other news:

    - I am staying home this weekend, so maybe I'll finally get inspired and do Lost Dogs disc 2.

    - I booked my flight to PHILLY today. Airtran rulz. Aw yeah. I show up Friday night and I leave late Monday afternoon. It's gonna rival some of the best weekends I've ever had. So, yeah.

    - I want WAWA while I'm in PHILLY.

    - I bet the new album will be full of great SUMMER tunes. YIELD II, anyone?

    - I cannot stop listening to Oasis. Put on "The Hindu Times" from their Heathen Chemistry opus, and tell me you don't wanna drive to Vegas with top down (topless is always good in every context, isn't it?)

And so, I leave you with this:

    The Hindu Times
    Oasis
    (Heathen Chemistry)

    "I get up - when I'm down
    I can't swim - but my soul won't drown
    I do believe - I got flare
I got speed and I walk on air

Cos God gimme soul in your rock'n'roll (babe)
Cos God gimme soul in your rock'n'roll (babe)

And I get so high I just can't feel it
And I get so high I just can't feel it

In and out my brain, runnin' through my veins
Cos you're my sunshine you're my rain

    There's a light - that shines on
Shines - on - me - and it keeps me warm
It gimme peace - I must say
    I can't sleep - cos the world won't wait"

Yep. True story. Let's just say I had a lot of fun in college. Like I said in my previous post I was part of a convoy. My friend's truck was full of Natty. The others had Natty Ice, Busch, etc. Think cheap domestic beer for a blowout party.

Back in '98 when I used to get as drunk as possible as quickly as possible, I drank Natty Ice. It actually is pretty good-tasting stuff, but man it fucks you up too quick. I like my marathon watered-down light beer.

I hear you...icehouse has a similar effect...it caught up with me too quickly more than a few times back in the day...a drinking marathon is definitely more enjoyable with some of the beast or a dirty 30 of busch nasty...

Grace, if you start drinking Heineken at 2pm, ther'es no way you're going to make it to WAWA at 2am after 1) tailgating all day 2) seeing Pearl Jam at the Tweeter 3) partying with PhillyPJ after the show.

    That's it ;)

Who's knocking the Ice House here?

I live in the Philly burbs. I wasn't a fan club member during the 2003 tour and somehow made it to six shows on the tour. I also got to see them during VFC in Reading and then last October's show in Philly.

I'm looking forward to a great weekend. I'll be bringing a friend from Pittsburgh and my friend in Philly here will be bringing a friend of his from York, I think.

Looking forward to meeting all of you. It's going to be a great weekend.

Christ, I just got done talking about this very subject shortly ago, haha. I got to be great friends with Jeninthebx last year (hot whitegurl from da board) and I came out and went to see Velvet Revolver (one of my fav bands ever) with her last year and it was cool. That weekend, I got to meet Solat13, PhillyPJ, and several others and it was the coolest time. It was nice to meet new folk, and I was welcomed in Philly with open arms. Last year I came out again for the 10/3 show and wow what a great time. A great group ya'lls got out there. I had so much fun, met so many fun people, and PJ loves your city so you get the best shows/setlists.

The short answer is "because I can"

BOTTLES?!?!? That's top-shelf right there, buddy. Fuck all that cheap Sam Adams, Heineken, etc shit. When the Fanchman reaches payday, he gets only the best - Natty in bottles.

Dude, seriously - isn't Natty in bottles very tasty? I'll take it over other low-end beers (Beast, Bud Light, Coors Light, etc) anyday.
