Hats off to the Heat and congrats to Shaq, Flash, ZO, GP, J Williams and Pat Riley for engineering a hell of a title run when it was really looking bleak out of the gate. I'm a fan and I wasn't thinking they were gonna do it, and esp not that way.

Basketball ended for me when MJ retired. Its right there with hockey for me now. Id rather watch Division 3 football or high school football than either hockey or basketball.

Bah, who needs $1,500 seats you can either get front row via a fast internet connection via non a ten club show ala the Boston 04 pre-shows like Colorsblend did, wait 8 hours in line for GA ala Borgata, donate 50 bucks for front row seats to moveon.com like I did for Toledo, or just know someone with a kickass ten club number. ;)

I don't like hockey period, so...

Basketball had ended for me with MJ until Shaq got traded to the already Kobe'd Lakers, and Phil Jackson came out of retirement. Basketball ended for me pretty much again when Kobe ripped the team apart and even Phil went into exile. I followed Shaq to Miami and got on board last year, adopting
    D. Wade into Kobe's former spot for me. Meantime Kobe has gotten passed his personal issues and acknowledged that he fucked up, and Phil has come back. I ended up following both teams this year in the end. Wade is a pretty smart player, can create room for himself, and is patient. Kobe is still textbook MJ through and through skill wise, but Wade is a fluid/athletic player himself. Now Lebron on the other hand...I feel like I'm watching a contruction worker in a tu-tu when he plays.

You saw my earlier post. I love hippie orgs.

It was worse for me though besides signing up for the VFC tour, I actually joined moveon.org and upgraded my seats to 2nd row in front of Mike for that show and also spread the word on the board so lots of other people did as well.

It took me 6 attempts to get off their mailing list.

I finally succeeded when I wrote "The only reason I joined your organization was to get Pearl Jam tickets. Unless you are sponsoring another tour I do not want to hear from you ever again. Thanks again for the awesome 2nd row seats. - Joe"

Actually, I do like D. Wade. I have caught a few games or pieces of games during the finals and he seems like a real quiet guy, not like one of the normal arrogant players, besides being one of the best players in the game. I watched, I think it was Game 5, when Shaq was like 1-100 from the foul line...I couldnt believe how long it took Riley to pull him. It was obvious all Dallas was doing was fouling him b/c the big oaf couldnt hit a free throw to save his life. He's lucky D. Wade saved his ass this year!

That clown got all high and mighty about Lindsey Vuolo, a local to me girl that was in Playboy back in '01, because she was touted as the "Jewish Playmate". He apparently felt her value system was flawed as a Jewish woman for posing and gave her mass amounts of shit for it. In the end they met and agreed to disagree pretty much.

    Two things: What is #3?

Also Bubba, D Wade was awesome at Marquette. I followed him back in college and Marquette was my dark horse pick to make the Final 4 his senior year which they accomplished. He was a born leader back then and he literally carried that Marquette team on his back.

I remember his interview from SI his rookie year in which they asked him why he didn't have any fancy cars or bling like other rookies and he said the most important thing is my wife and kid. I have enough to take care of them for a long time now and I don't need any of those fancy things. I think the coolest thing is seeing myself in a video game and I play it all the time in my free time.

I'm paraphrasing, but he's always been very down to Earth.
