why can't a muslim, jewish or whatever belief or classification one may be, why no pig? now let's think about this for a second.

i mean no disrespect & i am not poking fun at all, i am dead serious. this is ridiculous in my way of thinking. i need enlightened on this subject
is it to give will power? why not some kinda other beast? so a guy could eat doritos or cheetos or ice cream or candy bars but can't eat a pork loin bbq nicely & cut up & placed on a fancy ass salad w/ croutons & cucumbers & paul newman's caesar dressing?
i've heard of some folks being forebidden from eating catfish because their skin is not scaly but smooth.

This is why I'm not Kosher. The rules seem so damn arbitrary, and many of them reportedly were included for sanitary/health reasons at the time, which are no longer concerns thanks to refrigeration and proper storage/preservation techniques.

"Canadian bacon" in most places is just a slice of ham and does not qualify IMO as bacon. .
that's the stuff I was referring to. one reason I'm not a fan is cuz the next day after my very first experience with alcohol (boone's farm blueberry) I had a canadian bacon pizza and barfed it up )

I do not know what cud is. But I have been informed that they don't eat pig because they are considered dirty.
As far as kosher goes I'm not sure about pig but I know they have a weird thing about pastrami and milk. Apparently you can't have milk for coffee in a pastrami joint because of the kosher rules.
Recently I had "Drunken Mac n Cheese" with bacon. It was heaven.

Hahahaha. Entertaining on a number of levels. Probably the funniest part is that his heart rate was 93 prior to starting. My heart rate this AM when I went to the Dr was 58. At 9:39 I was laughing my ass off.

I had a meeting with a nutrientist (can't spell) yesterday and one of my questions was if I can still have bacon? She looked and kind of chuckled a little bit and said I really shouldn't, but I think she knew I would continue to eat it, so she said maybe on a couple of pcs each week and that's it. Well little does she know, I will eat bacon if it is offered up to me lol I'm an cut out the other crap, but not BACON!

I am sure if you take away lots of other bad foods that the glorious goodness of bacon will still be OK for you. I ate a monster breakfast Sunday AM out at a place locally and the bacon was some of the best I have had in a while. I eat it probably every 2-3 weeks but if I were around it every day I would eat it every day.
