Sounds good. Not "first single" great.
    Sounds like an audioslave song.

Better than the fixer though ;)

Pretty poor effort, It will fit in w/ the rest of the crap that appears to be on that soundtrack.

I don't think this is gonna be on their album...could be wrong but I heard this was ONLY for the soundtrack

Yup. According to Chris, none of the songs on the new album really fit the movie, so they wrote and recorded it just last week.

I have to say, they kinda teased us with that riff last week - you'd naturally assume is was going to be a little heavier after hearing that. As their first song in 15 years, it's a bit of a letdown. As a song made for the soundtrack to a summer blockbuster? Not too shabby, especially when you consider what other bands contributed material (Papa Roach :? ...). The solo is 100% badass vintage Kim Thayil.

Jesus Christ, talk about over produced. How many effects and studio tools were used in that song?

Matt Cameron, member of Pearl Jam, did an excellent job on this track. Problem solved.

It's ok, but it doesn't sound like Soundgarden to me. Sounds more like Chris solo or an Audioslave track.

If we're talking soundtrack songs, it's much closer to Chris' "You KNow My Name" than SG's "Birth Ritual"

It's not bad at all. Sounds like something that could have been on Down On The Upside.

It's very Audioslave... but I listen to it twice, and I actually really like it now.

    Love these guys :D 8-)
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

Awesome... Not audioslave sounding at all in my opinion, but picks up right where they left of with Down on the Upside, similar sounding guitars.

Great drumming to and drum sound, I'll say it again as much as I like Matt in PJ, he's just much more suited to Sounddgarden and his style really suits there music.

Love it love it love it! Seriously, listen to it on a set of good headphones, that's where it's at!!

    +1

Everyone saying it doesn't sound like Soundgarden must have missed Down on the Upside.........

Exactly what I would have expected from 2012 Soundgarden. Awesome.

I can just picture Matt smiling behind the kit on this one, actually being able to play with SWAG again.
