meeting Jesus would be great...meeting barry 0. not so much. and I have feeling berry 0 is on his way out,not saying that mitt is the guy for the job but he may get it anyway. ;)

    really???

i am going on record now and saying barrack obama will kill romney in the general election for a number of reasons.

    1. the gop has successfully alienated most groups of people. they have attacked latinos and mexicans, attacked the poor (who for some reason vote for them anyway), they have attacked the elderly with threats of privatising medicare and cutting social security, they have attacked muslims, african americans, and most recently women. they have gone to war with women over their reproducive rights and that is going to seriously backfire on them... i saw a bumper sticker yesterday that read "a women voting republican is the same thing as a chicken voting for colonel sanders"...

    2. romney is too inconsistent in his views and changes them to fit whatever group of people he is talking to.

    3. as of yesterdy obama was up in all key swing states by margins of up to 51%-42% over romney and even more than that over santorum and gingrich...

romney will never be president of the united states.

If it is going to be Romney he needs a dose of charisma, a sprinkle of charm,
    and a fistful of fight...

not saying he can't find all that and a blade of grass ;)

Will evangelicals come to bat for a Mormon? They consider it a cult

My answer is, could very well be...... Considering the black man might be the greater of the 2 evils in their eyes.

Obamacare being overturned(which will happen) could energize Obamas base..... The whole fuckin 5-4 Supreme court Bullshit will open people's eyes. Just like it should have in 2000, or with their decision to let superpacs form.

    It's all a sham

Say what you want about Barack, but he already has all of that.

Saw the swing states poll, but that stuff isn't all that meaningful this far away. I think Carter was looking pretty good until about a month before the 1980 election.

It all depends on the economy. If things keep steadily improving he will win. But remember George H had one of the biggest approval ratings a year prior to his reelection and then the economy went in the crapper and so did his chances.

Some people don't know or care about "issues" and just want a president that they would "want to have a beer with" or they don't mind seeing on TV as much when American Idol gets interrupted. Yeah, it's kind of sad, but that's how it is.

I also agree and some blindly trust too ... the having a beer thing,
thinking they know who this person is.

Our President is a very moving guy, extremely charismatic, stirring in his speeches...
but then he is a Democrat, they can make the best actors. ;)

Romney appears more uncomfortable, his words a little trite. He doesn't encourage
faith as well as Obama, in my opinion, faith enough that I can believe at least...
    at least so far.

Recent polls show women favor Obama over Romney in battleground states by over 18%. In response, Republican strategists urge women to get out of the kitchen and vote...

Show me a president that wants to end the endless wars, face the fact of peak oil and deal with it, work on reducing human impact on the environment and weather, do some things to take care of the less fortunate, stand up against bigotry (of both race, gender and sexual preference) and make "Rockin' in the Free World" our national anthem... THEN I'll get excited about about our next president.

As a resident of the state he last governed, don't be too excited about Romney. I guess you can look forward to Romneycare now since that was his big defining bill in Massachusetts. Universal healthcare for all or you pay a penalty on your tax return. I'm sure most Republican's will be on board with it too. just as long as the Dems don't get the credit it's all good.

It's not up to the president, it's up to the people. That's why it will never happen.

Sadly neither the president nor the people seem to want to deal with these issues- but since I believe "hope is the doing what makes sense no matter how things turn out" (Vaclav Havel) I'll keep posting these ideas and maybe, well just maybe, we'll at least get "Rockin' in the free world". :D

Thank you for your vote, Godfatherbro but until I don't fly so-- I mean can you imagine, "Sorry Mr. Medvedev but the President is still swimming, he should be here in a week or so."

I think he is, but a large number of people in this country would agree with "thanks to Obama."
The media has poisoned the discourse of this nation; people's ignorance and inability to think for themselves has enabled this poisoning.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, brianlux, I would love to see a politician come forth with those views. However, in this political climate, it would be construed, twisted, and mangled in such a way to validate accusation of anti-Americanism, communism, or whatever the media wants to put in the trough of the American public.
