I don't get the vinyl obsession. If you like to collect them or whatever, fine. And I know some vinyls sound better than CDs. But as far as The Beatles go, nothing will ever come close to beating the 24-bit FLACS from The Beatles USB that came out in 2009. It's unbelievable. I just wish they put it out in mono as well.

I'm sure the flac sound great, but for analog sourced music nothing is going to top vinyl. I actually think they are using the recently remastered stuff for the new vinyl, which is why I'm only interested in filling the holes in my collection. The recent remasters do sound amazing, undoubtedly.

Well yeah I'm sure they'll sound great and the more Beatles stuff the better. I'm pumped for the Blu-Ray of Magical Mystery Tour that's coming out in like two weeks. And speaking of the upcoming Blu-Ray, ya know what would make an awesome Beatles release? A blu-ray of every promo video and movie music clip sequenced chronically. I love the Anthology as much as the next guy and the sound and footage is great. But at times you have people talking over songs and the songs aren't always complete. This would be great. No early live performances but anything of them lip-syncing can be made into a "music video." Then ya splice and dice the song clips from A Hard Day's Night, Help, Mystery Tour, and promo vids like Paperback Writer/Rain. Ya remaster the Let It Be performance clips and maybe include the entire rooftop gig at the end. stuff like that in beautiful 5.1 surround sound. I'd be in heaven.
The worst part is, the official youtube page fucking teases these high quality videos but they're only a minute long. Lame. Maybe they're planning a release like the one I'm suggesting. Or maybe they just want to torture us:
Those clips look fantastic! They're probably working on something.
