Just curious...are ticketmaster and stubhub related? Bought tickets over a month ago for may 7ith in jax and got row L (best available...) and saw yesterday better tickets were released... Does stubhub buy tix and then when they aren't sold for the $300 they are asking, they release them back to ticketmaster? If so....not cool!!
I'll ride the wave where it takes me...

    Person buys ticket from ticketmaster
Person puts ticket up for "auction" on stubhub for 2-10 times of face value.

    Another person buys the ticket

Ebay owns Stubhub. Ticketmaster owns pretty much every other major secondary seller. Should totally be illegal.

In UK/Ireland promoters give tickets to Seatwave and Viagogo. They both claim they are selling fans unwanted tickets and these go for big bucks. I wouldn't be surprised if TM or the promoters allocated a selection of tix to Stubhub. If they don't, then stubhub is buying loads of tix and passing them off as fan tickets. Probably both. That is how it works. Sucks.

People pretty much get fucked by the secondary sellers

  • I read an article where Katy Perry is now claiming the best tickets and putting them on stub hub herself. Hell, why shouldn't she? They, the artists, are basically allowing everyone else to profit off of them with theses resellers.
Straight down the center for a hot chicken dinner!

this happens at every concert. Some tickets are held back for promoters, season ticket holders, whoever, then when they aren't used, they are released to the general public. Its a great way to get good seats
