I think he says star of the show, not start.

Best crowd ever in the continental USA for a PJ show....

I played the boot about 100 times ...
"drunken Ed speak" is tough sometimes...

    my ears hear "start"

it kinda makes sense with the crowd particpatiion during "release"...

    anyone else?

I wasn't with the long hair blonde woman for Boston II, but I was next to her. I was two people to the right of her for Boston I. The blonde woman I'm talking about didn't seem to be a newbie as she knew the songs I think, but her very-long-dark-hair friend was the one with the 10c number. I was with a newbie for Boston I, and she had shorter blondish hair.

Boston 2 was definetly the best show of the tour, and boston got the best pair of shows. Boston was also the best crowd of my seven shows, although not the best crowd I've seen. The Wachovia center in 2005 was better. Philly fans are generally better, but it's hard to compare indoors to outdoors. Just an unbiased person doesn't live in philly or boston, and actually hates philly compared to boston.

Still nothing compares to.... STATE COLLEGE!

    boston is "seattle east"
  • boston is "seattle east"

I don't think they are received as well in seattle as anywhere on the east coast, NYC, Philly or Boston. I think it's just where they are out of, and the hot bed for fans is in the northeast.

Why would they play more in NYC, Philly and Boston more times than seattle over the last six years. Not as a whole but individually.

Seattle is their home , but not where the true crowds are. They know this.

    Great Point!!!

ithink from now on we shouldnt single out individual cities as Pj 's favorite or the best town to see Pj in
Instead we all know the general area that Pj Favors
so from now on we Say " Megalopolis" Or "Boston-Washington Corridor"

Amazing crowd that night, no doubt. Hoping Dublin rocks as hard :)

That said... i really can't believe that any of the US crowds can really compare to the South American crowds. Based on the boots and a few vids I have seen.. South America is friggin scary how wild they get!

    1994 - Boston Garden 1
    2003 - Mansfield 1

    2008 - Mansfield 1 & 2, EV Boston 1

exclude DC, and Jersey from north east, make it Boston/Mansfield, Philly/Reading/State College, NYC(anywhere to the border of armpit of US(NJ),and I will agree.

If it took pearl jam 15 years to come to north east I would think we would be equal to the task. We are spoiled. They(South America) would get excited about seeing Van Halen with Gary Charone on lead, that's how deprived they are.
