I have never been a "showy" type person. However, I have finally got busy and lost my baby weight and more (my son is 7,lol). I was slim to average size in high school, but I am for the first time in my life what I call skinny. So, my husband and I saw one of my classmates from afar in a home improvement store last week. My husband turns to me and says, "good God, you really should go to your reunion." I'm sorry, I realize that sounds tacky and I hope that I do not jinx my weight loss since I am hoping to still lose 5-7 more pounds. Anyway, I just laughed at your post b/c I think that is the reason that a lot of people do go to reunions and yes, there is a lot of satisfaction in winning. Congrats.
I think I'm one of the only people out there who had a good positive outcome from my 10 year high school reunion. I was on the fence about going and my wife talked me into going. I ended up talking to a few friends that I was close to in elementary school but then just drifted apart from once high school broke into all of the little cliques. 2 years later and I'm still talking to them and they've became very close friends again.
It was kinda sad how a lot of people were still divided up into the same little groups like they were 10 years ago though. I tried to talk to some of the "cool kids" and they still just blew me off.

actually mine is tomorrow night. Going out tonight though with some friends also though tonight in town. Didn't care for high school too much. I didn't hang out with any of these people. I was more of a loner, kinda still am. But couldn't hurt and most of these people are pretty nice and "friends" on facebook. Plus didn't really have too much going on tomorrow night. The pre-party on the other hand.... There are a couple of things i could be doing but not sure.
The Colonial Theater is having their bi-monthly MST3K thing. Joel Hodgson is going to be there doing an hour of "How To Have Job Like Mine" then few Q & A before the show and then he picked out an episode of MST3K which will be showed last.
There are also a few concerts. OFF! is playing in philly (I sooo want to go to this too :( ). The Crystal Method is playing in West Chester at the Note. This would also be pretty cool since it's right down the road from me. I might check it out later since the pre-party is in W.C. as well. Also Rob Zombie & Maryiln Manson are playing in Camden. I probably wouldn't go to this unless it was somewhere.
