I just want to thank everyone again for all of your advice! I think the speech went well. I only had one glass of wine beforehand and while we were getting ready during the day I wrote down a couple notes to jog my memory during the speech. It was about 3 minutes long and I had a couple funny stories and was mushy in the right parts, ended on a strong note. I even had a couple people come up to me and tell me that I did a great job, so that really made me feel better.

And then I drank mass amounts of Crown. hahahha

YAY!!! I'm glad it went well for you! I can just imagine how relieve and happy you are that it's done with now.... (I know I was after the wedding) lol
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

    Nice work!!!

I had to do the best man speech once. Super nervous with the thought of getting up in front of 250 people...had a couple glasses of wine to take the edge off and as soon as I started almost all the nerves went away. Same thing when I have to do a presentation at work in front of a bunch of people...thinking about it is far more stressful than actually doing it.
