I don't think that you should do it at all. There's definitely other options that you should explore first before parting with things that you love and are passionate about.

I hope that your fiance understands that - it's not just a silly collection, it's items that mean something to you... you can't put a price on that. (besides what Ebay says)

    Congrats to you!!
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

That's like an inheritance ..lol. Tough choice. Can I ask if you were planning on ever opening them to listen, and how much does the value go down if/when their opened?

Reason I ask is if the value drops only a little, then have the vinyl ripped to digital and you can still have a small memory. You'll get close to that saturated good thick vinyl sound on digital, and you can still sell to a vinyl collector who knows their still in quality shape. Or the potential buyer can rip to digital for you on his/her end.

Just throwing out some options. Sounds funny, but I know a guy who goes to yard sales during the week, then flips the merch at a Sunday Flea Market for 4 and 5 times the original yard sale prices. I'm just saying if you're tight on holding the vinyl, i'd look for any way to hustle the money some other way. At least then you're wife sill see's how much the audio means to you, and she'll appreciate the effort.

Maybe you and her can meet half way with other items to sell?

    McQ-

Most of them are open and have been listened to quite a bit. I haven't had a turn table in a couple years though, so everything I've gotten in the mean time has remained unopened, except for the box sets which I had to open to see all the goodies inside.
