New Jersey Pearl Jam Fans

Surfing through terrestrial radio channels the other day and I stumbled upon 88.1 FM. They were playing PJ so I instinctively stayed for the entire song, which happened to be live, even better right? Then Ed began talking after the song and I thought to myself this is awesome that this station is playing a live PJ show on my way home from work. Get in my car the next day, and the station is still playing PJ, been going on for a while now and thought I would share it with all my fellow NJ PJ fans that this radio station is playing the Sirius XM Pearl Jam Radio on terrestrial radio. I live in Red Bank and the reception is pretty good, it fades out a little bit in Ocean County, but I haven't ventured far enough to really test how strong the reception is in other parts of the state. Just letting fans know about the station, and curious to see who else in NJ gets access to the station.

Enjoy!

Cool....thanks for the post. I live in the Edison area off exit 131 on the GSP. I have Sirius sat radio in my new car but not in my old one. I am gonna check to see if I get that station in my daily driver or beater/hoop-ty if you prefer.

Maybe a PJ fan is stalking you and you're picking up the signal from his/her satellite radio fm transmitter.

I'm from Middlesex County ... I'll check it out later today.

It's a terrible habit, but it does give someone a general idea of where your coming from. Your right, it may be too far south for you. I've done some research and apparently its a public access station out of Trenton, it says that the station is currently playing NPR, which is so far from the truth.

And ya know I wore my PJ shirt to work for the Unplugged anniversary today, and I'm spending more time getting to the bottom of the terrestrial PJ radio station than doing real work, concidence?...I think not

Yeah I have it on Sirius XM as well and its pretty much in sync. And also I do not use an FM transmitter, which was my first thought when I heard PJ Radio on terrestrial radio.

Not getting a signal here. Grew up in Colonia.. live in Woodbridge now. Edison is a more popular destination point so I use that as a reference.

Ahh yeah, I ususally use Woodbridge as my reference even though I'm in Iselin.

The signal thing seemed fishy because that's the station my dad's car uses to brodcast the SIRIUS through the car speakers. I feel like the OP was following a car that had PJ radio broadcasting on a 'silent' radio station into his car, because I have done this across the highway to my friends with CD's using the ipod cord version of the FM broadcasting transmitter.

i can get it but only for a split second, and its music behind a LOT of static, then it kicks it off cuz of the weak signal and goes on 88.3 cuz that's the setting for my add on cd changer

    BTW i have been, exit 3, exit 4, exit 11 on 78
    and
even exit 12 on the TP way back when

now so happy to be in PA where the exit numbers are all over the place...and they change them whenever they see fit

Yeah I had to be getting the station from another source, its no longer PJ Radio, maybe its coming from a store or something. And anyone who's in the Red Bank/Sea Bright area and wants to meet up I'm at the Mad Hatter in Sea Bright every weekend, some weeknights, just look for the dude with the PJ shirt playing darts and asking the bartenders for free plays on the jukebox. And sorry RBC...CBA all day
