Probably one of the worst music acts of my time. Bon Jovi are complete and utter Butt Rockers.

I remember when tried to make fun of Eddie Vedder in this music video because Eddie and Kurt Cobain sorta made hair bands dissapear so they were a bit jealous.

Why would you post on a happy birthday thread for an artist you don't like? Shoo, go somewhere else!

So what was Bon Jovi doing in the video I posted? Wasn't he hating on Eddie Vedder and other music?

Like who you will but when Eddie Vedder called Bon Jovi a butt rocker it was exactly the words I had been looking for to describe them for years. Thanks Ed, I couldn't have said it better myself! :D

Seriously. Every single one of them totally spongeworthy. :P

And yeah...haters gonna hate. But who cares what haters say? Maybe Bon Jovi talked a bit of trash about PJ, and PJ talked a bit of trash about Bon Jovi. Long time ago, and quite frankly, none of us know the full story of who said what to/about who, why, and in what order/context. So I'm, you know...butting the hell OUT and just focusing on enjoying the tunes.

Besides, I bet both Bon Jovi and PJ have a lot more respect for each other now. Both are still hugely successful acts that have stood the test of time...and both bands are very socially aware and donate a lot of money and support to good causes. Further, both Eddie Vedder and Jon Bon Jovi have reps as being decent guys - not douchebags like a lot of rock star frontmen.

On the list of Rock Stars Who Act Like Douchebags, Jon Bon Jovi is WAAAAYYYYYYY far down on the list.

According to a Conan interview, Bon Jovi asked Triumph to attend one of their concerts.

This will not load for me, unfortunately. But I own a DVD of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and there is quite a long piece on the DVD where Triumph interviews Bon Jovi and later sings with the band - I think he sings "You Give Love a Bad Name", only with the words changed. It is hilarious!

Is that the piece you have posted? Because if so, every Bon Jovi fan should see this - it is great!

Richie kinda looks like Katy Perry in this picture - which is a little disturbing - 'cause I so would Katy Perry

Sorry...figured that a 90's pop culture reference would be understood on a PJ board. Ah well.....

And yeah...I think that they all look pretty fine in that photo. Now, elsewhere might be another story...but these old photos sort of take me back to my wayward youth.
