I bet all the petty shows are going to be hits shows. got to appeal to a mixed audience
That's a good point - they are technically openers, and their job is to get the crowd pumped for Petty. Although, from what I heard about last night, PJ people dwarfed Petty. Way to represent, Minnesooooooota.

True, my buddy called as soon as he left the arena and told me Pj brought the house down and petty just went through the motions. The guys know if they are only doing 18 songs they're going to go all out.
Yeah, Peter Gammons (a sportswriter/commentator for ESPN, formerly the Boston Globe) had a brain aneurysm today and is in the hospital. He's a huge PJ fan, which is awesome because he's about 60 years old. I wouldn't be surprised if Light Years is one of his favorites, and it's great that Ed takes time out to mention him. I love being a fan of this band.

Very sad to hear about Peter. He is a big PJ fan but also is the biggest baseball genious on the planet. I love listening to that guy talk baseball. Hope he gets better soon. Anyone know if they did a soundcheck today?

Elderly Woman...eh, not crazy about it. I have a friend who kind of likes pearl jam, once I was in his car and put in his copy of Vs. We were listening to RVM and he was like "Holy shit, what is this? This is awesome!" I said, dude, this is YOUR cd.
He says, "Oh, I just bought it to listen to Elderly Woman."
