Will do! I'm not as familiar with Baker's work but I love Taj Mahal! I saw Taj Mahal and his excellent band in the early 70's at a big outdoor event in San Jose. They were amazing! Sounded much like what you can see and hear on their spot on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. Taj also played in the Blue Bell Building in Placerville which is now my wife's bookstore. When I go to work in the literature and nature sections today I'll remember I'm working on hallowed ground. :D

  • the local radio station pulled out some "old" Emerson Lake and Palmer on vinyl and was playing some deeper tracks... very enjoyably mellow kinda brings my mind to imagine times from a long time ago.

    better known song for many

records back in the 70's some were just plain old storytelling

the technology was raw and the bands rocked, this video and others like it make me admire PJ, they can take a forgotton song and bring it back to life, that along with their own songs create magic in music.. but this what they listened to..bands like this that shook the freakin world to its core.

Agreed! We had some of what I call traveling thunder last night- the kind that seems to linger and move off into the distance. God's Bowling Alley! :D
