A lawyer should take your case with no money up front as this is a very winnable case. I'm sorry to see this! Brian said it before but I'll say it again, keep us posted.

Thank you again for your support Paul. We'll do. :D

Maybe contact your local media too.

Wishing you both well and luck with this.

Contacting the media and getting your story out to your community may help in not only finding the lawyer you need but also in gathering the community around your cause. I would love to see this happen, I really feel for you both and want to see you triumph here. Please consider contacting a reporter! And please keep us posted. <3

I just don't have the time to tackle all these great ideas. I do know that I'm writing them all down. The one's here and on the two other threads I started. We sincerely thank everybody for your compassion, advice and support. I wish that I had time to respond to everybodys posts but I just don't. At least right now. I 'm going to go to work and check back here later tonight. I really would of not been able to make it here if it weren't for the love and support of all of you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

    Hello everybody,

Thank you so much for your love and support. I have been wanting to get on here and do some updates but I just haven't had the time. The phones have been ringing off the hook with doctors and case managers. Plus I am trying desperately to get to work. So I'll be checking back here later tonight. It's our son Dorian's birthday today and we haven't even figured it all out yet so it's going to be a long day. Again, Thank you so much I/we wouldn't be able to make it through without the support of everybody here. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

  • Also check your Yellow Pages or Google Legal Aid and your state. They often times have folks who work pro bono who will listen to your claim, review your documents and make recommendations about which way to go. They may also take your case on either a sliding scale or pro bono basis.

I wish you the best and do keep us posted. I hate hearing stories of people getting screwed because of someone else's negligence.

Best of luck! And I hope your wife gets better. That's most important.

    Peace

Thank you so much for all of the advice. We really appreciate it. I will start this on Monday.
My wife deserves to be heard. She is such a good person. She is the most selfless person I
have ever known. We just want to make it through all of this and have our lives back. She deserves
all of the goodness that life has to offer.

    Thank you, John

  • Where do you live? I'm a lawyer in NJ. I've handled medical malpractice, but don't do much of it anymore. Medical malpractice cases are among the most expensive and difficult types of cases to win. You need to find a lawyer that specializes in handling medical malpractice cases. Most lawyers who say they handle med mal cases, actually don't. Although personal injury cases are taken on a contingency fee basis (no win/no fee), you may be asked to pay some initial costs upfront. That's because the lawyer may have to pay a doctor to find out if you have a case in the first place (if it turns out to be a winnable case, then the lawyer will typically start fronting the costs after he/she gets the go ahead from the expert/doctor).

If you live in NY or NJ I can refer you to someone. Otherwise, I'd say ask around and do some good research. Good luck.
