Attack? You kind of struck me as a pretty tough nut, that didn't get offended easily and just let shit roll off your back. I didn't realize how sensative you are... I apologise.

Now... do you REALLY believe that ALL Conservatives are Tea Party members? I mean, I would venture to guess that All Tea Party members are Conservatives... but, not the other way around. It's blatant. It's in a lot of threads. I'm campaigning for fairness for all sides.
Why do we all tip-toe around Kat? Why? Should I fear being banned by Kat, because I raise this subject?
If we're all obeying the guidelines, what do we have to fear? I'm talking about a serious issue that's at the heart of what the posting guidelines are designed to do- allow for reasonable debate without name-calling and personal attacks.0 -

Laughing at the offended.
Another Nutsniffer tactic. Mmmm.... feel that compassion.0 -

Dude, blaming one guy for the problems in Kill-adelphia seems short-sighted to me. Try the random packs of "teens" traumatizing everyday citizens....
Now please stop derailing my thread.0 -

Tough people stand up for what's right. It's not about sensative, it's about treating everyone decently.
I make tough arguments, and usually am in the minority on here, but the one time I name-called, I got a nice little ban- and I deserved it.

A lot of the posters here prob don't even realize that the term "teabaggers" is supposed to be off limits here. Not all the posters were around during those arguments when Parachute got offended.
And like most, new posters likely think it is a joke that you are equating a term that your own group unwittingly started using with terms that have been demoralizing minorities for hundreds of years.0 -
I gotta agree with Brian, that Beer looks awfully good right now.0 -

Wrong.
go back and look at the photos, articles, advertisements/flyers, and video footage of the original tea party rallies. look at them outside of the health insurance reform town hall meetings. "teabag obama before he teabags you!!" was a popular sign and chant at that time. people had lipton tea bags stapled to their hats, their signs, their jackets, and they even called themselves that in interviews.
i had a whole bunch of links to articles and videos saved for threads like this one but i lost them all when my hard drive died.... there was a mountain of evidence to back me and KOR's posts..."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

Point taken.
As a note, I don't use the term, 'Teabagger'... not because I think it will offend anyone, but because I understand the term is incendiary and it undermines the point I am trying to make, regarding Tea Party agenda and/or candidates.
...
Slightly off-topic: The original Tea Party... they were rebels, whom commited illegal acts against a large corporation... and tried to blame it on the Red Man.
I get the overall connection... and how it was one of many acts that lead to war and independence from England. But, still... come on... how patriotic was it to turn the British troops on the poor fucking Indians?Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I agree here Brandon...and I honestly think Mayday, you might be over-reacting. I'm not sure people are aware that its so offensive. But now we know, or at least more of us know.
I'm with Brianlux...off to the train car for a drink and some riot act.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0
