Teabaggers and Nutsniffers

I am a Tea Party member, and am highly offended by the use of the phrase "Teabagger".

Since it's become the norm on the Train to generalize an entire group of people in derogatory terms, in this case, referring to them as "Teabaggers: the act of gargling one's testicles in another's mouth, or draping them across the face of another person", I will henceforth refer to liberals as "Nutsniffers", until the mods decide to enforce their own rules without preference for certain political views.

This has been an issue in the past, wih Kat posting that the phrase was considered derogatory, and not to be used again. Then she promptly banned the offended individual, who has never been heard from again.
This brave conservative's name was Parachute.

Easier to ban the offended, than uphold your own standards, eh Kat?

Kat, please see the blatant violation of your own rules here:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=183215

So have at it, all you liberal Nutsniffers- lets continue with the polite and considerate debate that the Train''s posting guidelines foster. All conservatives are Teabaggers. All liberal are Nutsniffers.

I hereby challenge the mods to enforce their own guidelines with respect for ALL, regardless of political beliefs, but I'd be shocked if the Mods response is not to ban me for this... That's the precedent they've set.

That is all.

    "Teabaggers", "Paultards", and so forth.

Just from my own personal experiences tho, I find being blatantly confrontational with Kat usually isn't the best approach. :| :? :? :|

    That being said,
the nutsniffers clearly have the home court advantage on this turf.

ahhh, nice! I guess sometimes we can pat ourselves on the back, huh? ;)

funny thing is, I see what you're saying, but I honestly don't think a lot of people think about the meaning of teabagger as you so eloquently stated it (balls reference). I used it a few times (in real life), honestly not trying to be offensive..its just rolls of the tongue easier than Tea Partier. What's the alternative?

And if I was to be labeled a liberal, I guess i wouldnt mind if it was a universal shift in labeling...
    Liberal = Nutsniffer
    Tea Party Memeber = Teabagger

Then whats a conservative thats not a teabagger? or is a conservative always a teabagger? hmmm..

Honestly I can't stomach equating this particular group of people with a group of people that was instrumental in the American Revolution. The group that refers to itself as the Tea Party (and has clearly taken over the Republican Party) causes my stomach to churn. So I will not call them Tea Partiers. And yeah, Teabagger rolls off the tongue, and once again I never heard of that balls definition and that's not what I was insinuating.

(of course, after watching John Adams, the Boston Tea Party itself is perhaps overly romanticized...)

That was kind of my take on the thing...
Isn't the term, 'Nutsniffer' a SYNONYM for the urban dictionary's definition of 'Teabagging'?
The antonym would be something to do with the vagina... maybe? Maybe Liberals should be called, 'Muff/Rug Munchers' or 'Clam Diggers' or 'Snatch Snatchers'.
    Just a thought.

You started a new thread for this?
Parachutes has never been heard from again.....? hmmmmm

See the little exclamation point at the top right of each post?
Thats the 'report to mod' button. The mods don't sit and read every single word posted to the board. If you're offended, report the post and they'll enforce the rules. You could have easily done that with the post you linked, instead of trying to embarrass the mods with a new thread calling them out.

I think we all need to step into the lounge, have a drink (we don't discriminate- non-alcoholic beverages are available :) ) and try and relax a little and stop hating each other. Besides- it's Friday. Come and join me? :D

A lot of discriminatory and derogatory names "roll off the tongue" and are "easier to say"...

There are 7 syllables in "Caucasian-American", and "African-American", and we all know some pretty offensive words that would "roll off the tongue" easier-- Still NO EXCUSE, b/c those words are discriminatory an WRONG.

It's blatant. It's in a lot of threads. I'm campaigning for fairness for all sides.

Why do we all tip-toe around Kat? Why? Should I fear being banned by Kat, because I raise this subject?
If we're all obeying the guidelines, what do we have to fear? I'm talking about a serious issue that's at the heart of what the posting guidelines are designed to do- allow for reasonable debate without name-calling and personal attacks.

Tough people stand up for what's right. It's not about sensative, it's about treating everyone decently.

I make tough arguments, and usually am in the minority on here, but the one time I name-called, I got a nice little ban- and I deserved it.

Rules are rules, I just want them to applied fairly...
