WMA, Nothingman, Present Tense, Tremor Christ, Leaving Here, Real Me...PJ/Covers wise...
Doubting Thomasina, Hi-Line, She's My New Song...outside of the band

Jeff is gifted, has successfully gelled w/ each drummer PJ has had and without him, well...it's like the Last Supper w/o Jesus, ya know what i mean?

WMA and Rats are my faves, but most recently it's been Holes in the Road from Tres Mtns.
  • Seriously? 5 pages of this thread and no-ones mentioned Push Me Pull Me.

Even if that middle bit is nicked from New Pollution by Beck

#1 Jeremy (overplayed? sure, but that's just very clever and melodic line)
#2 The beginning of alternate Corduroy from Vitalogy 2011

That's the one, man. This song's so, so underrated. The video shows Ament just shredding it!

I was just listening to this one on the Berlin 2010 boot yesterday, and was thinking how much I've overlooked this song.

So cool that they played this one at PJ20 in Alpine Valley too!

  • ament is a god-damn beast on the bass,

the stand out ones for me are present tense, rats, save you and push me pull me.... but even when you really listen to some tracks and can hear some of the licks that go unnoticed and are f**king awesome! like in 'hail hail' he tears it up!!!!

as a bassist i try to learn his songs and he is so unique and has such a defined style, so makes it so much fun to learn :D
  • Last 10 seconds of Hail hail, might only be in the live versions

Gotta be Present Tense but I agree that he rocks SO many songs. PJ without Ament is no PJ at all. He is the unsung hero of this band!
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Gotta go with the ol stand by "King Jeremy The Wicked". Jeff invented the bad ass bass line with this song IMO.
