What is classified as Indie? Because I don't really seem to know much of these bands, and the ones I do I don't really like like...
Bands not signed to a major record label. It has nothing to do with the actual sound of the music, but I've found that a lot of my favorite groups are classified as indie.

Really? I never really knew that. In that case I probably have a bunch of indie bands I like then.

it certainly is, time stands still when they play tunnels live
There is no better live band out there.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
I think they are great, but could never give this distinction to a band that plays essentially the same set every night.
I would NORMALLY agree with you.
However, what they play every night is damn near perfect.

I hear ya. I saw them in 2007 and 2010 and they were fantastic both times. One of my top 10 bands.
I don't think I will see a better show than the free show they did in downtown Montreal last year, outside.
101000 people for a hometown show, last show of 'The Suburbs' tour. Absolutely on fire, so so so intense. Just amazing.

Really loving The Lumineers and Of Monsters and Men albums.
Also Milo Greene. Their debut album will be coming out this summer. I saw them open for The Civil Wars and they had the entire place on their feet when they got done. So good live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUazz0gM ... ure=relmfu
The Revivalists are another. Ever since just randomly seeing them at a show they have been a favorite of mine. Quite possibly one of the best shows I've ever been to when I saw them for the 2nd time. They can just bring it

Bloom is incredible. Too bad indie isn't appreciated more around here.
