I thought they were Britain's funkier answer to Blind Melon, with a little bit of Temple of the Dog thrown in. It's like the lead singer hung out with Chris Cornell for years.
I saw these cats open up for Third Eye Blind in Milwaukee a bunch of years ago. Holy crap were they impressive! There was some heckler down in front nearby and the lead singer leapt over a bunch of people, got in the dude's face and continued singing his song RIGHT AT THE GUY. I was expecting fisticuffs - but that got the crowd super fucking pumped. Quite possibly one of the top 5 opening acts I've ever seen.
Then they kinda went away.
Don't know that America really got it... Which is too bad. Reef could fuckin' jam, man...
Good call.

Once at T in The Park festival, they had transport issues and were very late for their set,the organisers weren't going to let them go on but they insisted, they only had time for a 20 minute set but they set the place on fire in that 20 minutes.
Brilliant bunch of guys listening to them makes me feel great
Frazba was in a bar in London last year when Place Your Hands came on and the place went mental singing along ... except for the five people I was with from this place  .... none of them are from the UK and looked very confused wondering who were this band none of them had heard of but that all these crazy Brits were having a huge singalong too

That would've been funny to see Never quite understood why they didn't do better in the US, they were a great Rock band.
They still play gigs periodically, I saw them last summer playing on a beach near me.
Next month they've a box set coming out and are playing a couple of small London gigs -

I saw Them Is Me a few times in pubs near me, and also StringerBessant (they are on Xtra Mile Recordings same as Frank Turner)
They are good blokes, I have been drunk with them a few times after gigs

Wonder when the warm-up gig at the Riflemans will be?
I'm surprised it took this long ... :P
I couldn't find a youtube clip
Place your hands is a Djs secret weapon. If you ever start to lose a crowd stick this on and watch the place go mental.
Worked for me many a time
I was waiting for it!

Naked is one of the standout songs of my mid-90s youth, secondary school through to college. Just listening to it now brings back a ton of great memories.
Needs a vid!
