I'll be at Yankee Stadium on Saturday! Can't wait!!

Well holy crap that was SPECTACULAR!! I don't even know how to describe it, because I've never seen anything quite like it. Couldn't be happier with my seats in the 400s, actually, which I was nervous about, but turns out I had one fantastic view! My friend and I were just in awe basically the whole time. What a spectacle! Top-notch production, I don't know how they do it! And feeling Yankee Stadium actually shake during Run Like Hell- wow. I don't even know what to say--people just have to see it for themselves to understand what kind of show this is! Way beyond just a concert. Truly amazing!

I've seen several big-time concert extravaganzas (every U2 tour since PopMart, most of the 90's/00's Stones tours, the Who's '96-'97 Quadrophenia tour), heavy on flash and showmanship, and The Wall blew most of them away, at least from a spectacle standpoint and a "how did they do that?" awe. The closest comparison I can think of is the mid-nineties stage version of The Who's Tommy, which I saw in its touring company in 1993. (Fun fact: the adult Tommy was played by former MTV VJ Steve Isaacs, who's basically responsible for turning me onto Pearl Jam, so that was cool.) Tommy was done as a great interplay between traditional Broadway musical styling, video/projection elements, dynamic stage pieces (constantly moving in and out of configuration) and pyrotechnics.
That's as close a comparison as I can come, and it pales in scale--comparing a theater show to an arena concert (as Waters was when I saw him last month) or a stadium show is kind of difficult.
I've been to close to 200 concerts and I saw this show last night in Philly. Easily the best I've ever been to
Same here. I had the highest expectations for this and it totally exceeded them.
Wow, I am really looking forward to the show Saturday in Quebec! Any advice on the best place to stand? It's an outdoor show and I don't have front of stage access tickets.

Try to get as center as possible. Thats where i was and the surround sound speakers were right behind me. Amazing
This is the kind of concert where you actually wanna be dead center and far away from the stage, but not too far, just not close enough where you have to turn your head left or right to see the mindblowing visuals.
I'm really looking forward to the blu-ray concert film; I wonder how they can pull it off effectively.
anyone find a bootleg of the Citizens Bank Park show? I'm guessing no cause I'm pretty good at finding recordings on the 'net and haven't found this one yet. Anybody?

Assume you know about yeeshkul.com, but if you didn't, there's video available.

Dude, I never knew about that site and am forever grateful to you for sharing it. And there's audio available too of the Philly show. Thanks a lot!
