It can't just be about the games anymore, there has to be a narrative... not to mention they play up the broadcasters / talking heads to be as much a part of the show as the athletes themselves, and this isn't limited to football. 

Pro sports are getting harder & harder to watch IMO. Or maybe I'm just becoming a cranky old man... take your pick.

Yeah, I feel that.  I can usually roll with it, but the repetitive nature of it can wear a person down!

Yeah, I still am not sure where to point the finger.  Ha.  It is wild.  I guess when they pick guys who have injury histories...and they prioritize guys who fight for every inch on every play, they are destined to have more injuries than other teams.
