It boggles my mind that ESPN spent months drooling over this clown

Buried at the end of Jim Thomas’ column in the St. Louis Patch-Dispatch about the Rams’ rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein and rookie punter Johnny Hekker is a nugget that sadly sums up Tim Tebow’s season.

Here it is in all of its sad glory.

An added bonus from Hekker was his prowess on trick plays. As Zuerlein’s holder, he threw a touchdown pass in the first Seattle game. He also completed two passes on fake punts Nov. 11 in San Francisco, helping the Rams earn a 24-24 overtime tie.

“It was awesome,” Hekker said. “Being a specialist, you love to contribute any way that you can. And me being able to throw the ball, as an old quarterback it’s kind of like reliving the glory days.”

In the believe-it-or-not category, Hekker’s 42 yards passing on three completions in three attempts gave him more passing yards this season than Tim Tebow, who completed six of eight for 39 yards for the New York Jets.

“Oh man, I feel bad for Tim Tebow to be honest,” Hekker said.

We do too, Johnny. We do too.

That seems to be the report now. I would have bet good money he was going to Arizona.

I read that Arizona sent a plane to pick him up in Philly but his meeting with KC went so well that he passed on it.

what of the last 8 years in philadelphia did the kc chiefs like so much to give andy reid full control over their franchise?

i think this would work better if paoli was staying...

Does that mean no one's injured? Or there's just nothing to report officially yet?

    Anyone know Joe Flacco's status?

    Dudes a fraud

Nike money plus belloti started a great foundation

His demeanor on the sideline won't warrant respect from pros.

Just a bad idea all around....even if he went to a decent franchise

I think it just mean's that whoever keeps track of that over at NFL.com is lazy. ESPN.com has all the latest injury information...

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/injuries

Flacco is a go for the game, he's not listed there or on the Raven's official report. What happened to him?

He got hurt last week and had to leave the game and didn't come back.

I didn't see the game and can't remember exactly what happened.

    Thanks for the link!

my nephew goes to oregon and he's loved there

i don't think he'll do well in the pros...in college he's able to pick the players he wants to run his system...that's a lot harder to do in the nfl and especially in cleveland (sorry matt :P  )

They absolutely love him here. Everyone is up in arms that he might leave. Personally I agree that he won't do good in the NFL.

Not much football here in Oregon but the Ducks sucked for a long time(I hear ya Browns fans) and have actually been competitive for a while now. Thus the fervor of the fans.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Browns are flying back to Cleveland and will "reboot" their head-coaching search without Chip Kelly in the mix.
Well, it looks like it will be Kelly to the Eagles, or he will return back to Oregon. In fact, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer said early on Sunday morning that there was "just as much a chance he stays [at Oregon] than goes."
