    Is it me or is the Pro Football HOF kind of becoming a joke. It seems super bowl rings are more important than the impact a player had over their career. Irvin getting in before Brown, Carter and Reed was and is a sick joke.

    a) Warren Sapp = 2nd most sacks out of the DT position in NFL history...7 Pro Bowls...Super Bowl Champion...NFL Defensive Player of The Year...intimidating & disruptive despite being double teamed most of the time...oh yeah, part of the Tampa 2 D that most teams tried to copy for a decade straight...more importantly, helped make TB a contender after a history of awfulness. I'm not shocked at all he's a 1st ballot HOF'r. Doesn't mean I'm a fan or liked him. But he does belong...Plain and simple.

    b) Michael Irvin simply is a better wide receiver than Andre Reed & Tim Brown. The other 'triplets" got in 1st ballot, he had too. Like Sapp, disagree with his personality or off the field shenanigans, but no doubt he was great and a game changer.

    c) Maybe Tim brown and Andre Reed get in. To me, they are first ballot Hall of Very Good. Talk football with knowledgeable long time fans of the game, I'm not sure Andre Reed or Tim Brown are brought up in the top 10 receivers of all time. I know you are a Bills fan, Durp, and Andre Reed was a special and great player...HOF'r? Not sure.

    d) You HAVE to put Cris Carter in the HOF. One of the greatest to ever play. Ever. And yes, ahead of Reed & Brown, for sure. Brown was so consistently good, I personally hope he gets in one day. Could be a while. Marvin Harrison and Randy Moss = 1st ballot HOF'rs.

    e) The process for HOF is somewhat of a joke. I will say, this year, I feel like they got it right however. Strahan will get in, not a first ballot guy though. To me 1st ballot = can you discuss the game - and its history - and be mentioned in the conversation out of the gate when it comes to the position? Sadly as Fins fan, seeing Strahan not make it on 1st ballot, makes me wonder if Jason Taylor will get in ever...
