In addition to the obvious shit she shouldn't be talking about....harking back to the good old days of being on the Lions is an odd take.

I'm surprised the Rams organization and / or his teammates don't have a bigger problem with it, never mind Stafford himself.

I can just envision the awkwardness in that locker room right now. It's gotta be a weird situation that nobody probably wants to talk about because it's the quarterback's wife. Lot of people likely walking on eggshells as a result...

  • I'm surprised the Lions are getting so much more hype than the Steelers. They both finished last season in similar fashion, yet so many people are hyping the Lions more (including the NFL I guess, by putting them on against KC tonight). Maybe Detroit's offensive stats from last year have people mesmerized. But I think the Steelers will be better.

I'm surprised Stafford himself doesn't have enough self awareness to put a stop to it... I though the same about Mahomes w/ his GF & brother.

I think the Lions will have a better record by virtue of schedule, playing in the NFC North will be much easier this year than the AFC North. They also play the entire NFC South which looks to be as dog shit a division as the league has seen in some time.
Doesn't mean they are necessarily a better team than Steelers, but I think they will win more games, possibly several more.

People are excited about the Lions more than the Steelers because it's a novelty that the Lions could be a good football team, whereas the Steelers are basically always good and everyone outside of that area is tired of them.

Anyway, super win for Detroit. They should be so stoked. It was frustrating watching both teams pass up going for it on 4th down repeatedly, and crazy the Chiefs WR's couldn't catch a cold.

The Lions can go to the Superbowl because the NFC is basically a farm league to the AFC

Mahomes should sue his receiving corps for non-support.
Clearly they were never going to pay him what he wanted, but how much different would they have looked Thursday night with Tyreek Hill in the lineup? They could have withstood the loss of Kelce if they still had a weapon like him.
Now if Kelce is out for any length of time, Mahomes will learn what Tom Brady had to endure in the 2006 season when he was throwing to the likes of Reche Caldwell, Doug Gabriel and Jabar Gaffney.

I could make the argument they don’t win the Super Bowl last year if they had paid Hill.  He was becoming over-reliant on Hill and Kelce to where it was getting a lot easier to defend him and the offense.  If they want to keep up this run of Super Bowl contention, they’re going to have to develop skill position players.  They drafted Hill in the fifth and round helped him become what he is today.  You can’t blow wads of money on a WR and be able to keep the rest of your roster deep.  I’ll give this game a pass for now, but if this is the same story at the end of the month with the drops then I will get out my torch and pitchfork.

AJ Brown's contract with the Eagles is almost as much as Hill with Miami (and probably something Hill would have taken from KC), and they have the deepest roster in the NFL.

The pathetic inept useless quarterback-less NFC went 4-0 vs AFC this week.

how many championships have the Eagles won with Brown?  How many has KC won without Hill?

Wasn't really the argument. But yes, the Chiefs barely beat the Eagles by a shirt tug in the one season that meets the criteria you posted.
You said, "you can't blow a wad of money on a WR and be able to keep the rest of your roster deep", and I supplied an example (and there are others including Miami where Hill now plays) that says otherwise.

49ers looked in late season form for much of that demolition of Pittsburgh yesterday.
I actually picked them to lose that game...stoked that they beat up on em.
