Cmon Roger, don't unravel on me now...but I have to say, Rafa has nerves of steel. Such focus and determination, it's unbelievable.

Ran to shower after last tie break.

    Still could go either way.

I told them at work I might be coming in a little late today. Good thing. I don't know if I'll make it there by 8! Not with a 5th set!

It's all mental, he's got the goods but something about Rafa just shakes him. Rafa is tough as nails, I really admire him for that.

federer crumbles under the pressure of nadal ... the troubling thing is watching roger quit on the court ... like he's resigned himself to lose ...

I know, that's what kills me. Seen it happen so many times. If it's a close fight, he can't hang in there. I can't remember if he ever did and now he has the same problem with Novak too. He's going to need to find a way to keep his focus if he's going to get back to #1 again. Rafa's will is unbelievable, though. I think Roger is more skilled but Rafa just doesn't give up!

both rafa and novak have way more heart than roger ... roger just doesn't care enough ... he won't win another slam unless those guys get hurt or someone else knocks them out of a tournament ...

Has it always been that way? I didn't follow him much when he was on his winning streak.

he had it way too easy at the beginning ... he had very little competition ... but just looking at the head to head stats against nadal should tell you the story ... most of federer's wins came early on his surfaces (hardcourts, grass) ... now, he can't beat rafa on any surface ...

it's brutal in a way cuz i love his game ... his shotmaking ... but i will take heart over skills any day ...

I guess I haven't been a Federer fan long enough to write him off as not having heart. I know what the stats say but I'm just going off games I've seen. I'm still hopeful he finds a way to overcome, it would be fantastic if he did. I wasn't a fan until I saw him play live, it's pretty darn amazing especially when he's on.

I'll try again for the French, I guess

barring injury - he has no chance at the french ... wimbledon is his only hope ...

He's got heart alright, and he cares... Imagine if he had the tenacity of Lleyton Hewitt... Unstoppable...

What I am really loving is Nadal's emotion this grandslam.. I love seeing emotion and how much it means to them, and this means a lot to Nadal...

Obviously he has dominated on clay, he has won two on grass, but he has only won the aussie and U.S once each (isn't it funny saying only won two grandlams once each)

So he still has something to prove
