While at one of the last Spring Training games today between the Nationals vs Yankees here in WPB I treated everyone there as Perfect Strangers.

I happened to catch one last night - Tool's live Sober.  She was amazed at his vocal control, and how he was able to use his voice so well while basically hunched over the entire song.

    Whatta voice!

Miles away and that made me smile. Imagine how it must’ve been for those right there?

So, my building's gym is closed and I'm making due at home.  Slapped on some music and got to it.

I have a random blues mix on my phone (yet somehow NIN and Zombie are in there?!), and this came up.  Perhaps not fitting for most in terms of exercising, but for me?  Nailed it :)

I was looking over my library of CDs LP albums and songs searching for something uplifting to listen to.  So I came across a CD that I hadn't listened to in a very long time.
R U S H.  (Rush did the trick for me!!  For today at least.)
    Spirit of Radio Greatest Hits1974-1987
Had it playing in the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner for my kids, with the beer flowing of course, and then this, the last song on a disc came on ( a song that I liked it but had largely overlooked in the past) BUT today it just struck me as an almost perfect song for the times in which we live...
My thanks to all the great bands and musicians that helped us through the good times and bad.  It's obviously not a new song but it works for today the magic of good music.
Time Stand Still, my five-year-old son was passing through the kitchen and he said the dad what is this song?  I said it's Rush time stand still, he asked me if I would play it again?? I said of course.  So I found it interesting that.this song caught his ear too.  The drumming on it is killer!!

Cheers Brian, Kce8 and hendo!! Or better put keep calm carry on....
PS tonight on PBS Austin City Limits Colter Wall will be featured.  The guy is 24 years old but the way he sings his songs sound like they might as well be 150 - 200 years old.  He's from Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  I just discovered this guy a few weeks ago and I think he's great.
Check it out people!! It will give to you something to look forward to tonight since we're all forced to stay at home.
    Lots of edits lol.

Hey RYME!  Long time no see!  I'll try and see if my crummy TV reception will get PBS tonight.  Thanks for the heads up.

    Hope you're doing well!

I drive semi truck that supplies raw materials ( sand, soda ash, lime, & slag to a company that makes food containers. So we at this time are still considered essential.  My wife is a nurse at a nursing home.  So it's all hands on deck at my house.  I edited my first post about five times because for some reason when I read it back to myself there was a lot of errors.   I think the autocorrect on  these things is crazy it changes words after I hit send??? :|

Well-done to you and your wife, Ryme.

Rush was one of the first bands I ever saw - love them, and Neil?  Class act all around.

    I believe g under p would agree ;)
