Nice score, rr! Was never a particularly huge Styx fan but some of their music is ingrained in my teen years. Also, I remember catching Tommy Shaw's wife on a few episodes of Flipping Out (yes, I watch that show and love Jeff Lewis!), and she seems like one tough tiger.
Speaking of scoring, had a nice drive to my dispensary seeing all of the smiling faces in light of today's landmark ruling. Got some beautiful stuff called Purple Skywalker. I've never seen such truly purple bud. Gonna christen it when the man gets home!
Here's to a sweet weekend for all.0 -
Purple Skywalker, nice Hedo may the force be with you.
Hedo Styx looked so old.... Just saying. Is flipping out a real estate flip show?No shame, we religiously watch Lakefront Bargin hunt and House Hunters on HGtv.
And I concur about the sheer happiness and joy the ruling brought so many.Long over due for a "Free" society. We were discussing this last night. This is good stuff.0 -
Jesus, the purple is some of the best I've had (and it should be - $80 for an eighth, and that was the sale price!). A nice treat but not likely to be part of the regular rotation.
Yes, Flipping Out is a reality/real estate show on Bravo. I like House Hunters too! Especially the international ones - they're like taking little vicarious trips around the world.0 -
Those fucking shows are going to cost me a fortune.hedonist said:Jesus, the purple is some of the best I've had (and it should be - $80 for an eighth, and that was the sale price!). A nice treat but not likely to be part of the regular rotation.

My wife was watching the Lake front one the other night and starts with the "We should buy on this lake,We can build a family cabin and have a dock and blah, blah, blah".
the funny part is all my kids and wife hate seclusion and are much more into urban or beach stuff. So those shows are doing some brainwashing if she now wants a lake house in the sticks.lol.
Thanks for rubbing it in btw about your easy access to stress relieving purple herbal remedies.I feel like I live in the dark ages.0 -
Sorry, brother
And hey! We're having Florida-like weather here this evening - kind of damp/overcast and strange, but lovely.

Oh thanks rr but I had to work that night however if I had known those bands were coming I would've taken off to be there. Oh yes that was a hot night I rode my bicycle to work early and got to hear some of the show. I've seen Def Leppard many times in the early 80's, love Tesla never seen them though and Styx don't know them much but wouldn't mind seeing them. Back in the day I was more into Triumph. I'd love to get a schedule of all who is coming to the Amiphitheater, I did see Journey the first show there of the season.rr165892 said:

Oh snap I was there, not inside but outside listening for an hour or so last night. I work next to the Fairgrounds and that jail @ BJ'S. FINALLY a rock show where the parking lot was somewhat packed. The only other acts that appear to pack fans are country acts it seems.rr165892 said:Time to kick off the weekend.Big rock show tonight.Def Leppard,Styx and Tesla.Rocking out 80s style.
Peace Ya'll

Show was fun,Tesla was fucking great,Styx rocked out and I'm glad they did not play Mr.Roboto.Def Leppard was Def Leppard.Good but I was a bit disappointed they only played Bringin on the Heartbreak of High and Dry.No Let it Go,Saturday Night and nothing off on Through the night.
It was Cougar Ville, lol I felt like it was my 86, HS reunion.I somehow scored a Styx backstage pass,(long story) but that's not my thing and I only had one so I did not go get a picture with the very tiny Tommy Shaw.
It was SOOOO jungle hot up close.Could be the hottest concert I've been too in 35 years. No air moving at all and like you said place was packed.
Peace

Remember going into record store many moons ago and buying in through the night. The one def album I really liked. Lost the record but needing to get another copy. Played Styx few nights ago.rr165892 said:

We're turning the place over to the step daughter and the cat for a few weeks of visiting relatives and going camping. Might get a chance to check in somewhere along the way. Meanwhile, hope you all have a good ride here!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0
