Thx for the replies about $$$. guess my first stop at the airport is an ATM so I can have money to pay for a cab to hotel... Do these cities accept AmEx or is it mainly VISA/MC?
Yes, thanks for the replies, as i was wondering what to do myself.
Folks please don't take a taxi from the airport, seriously. Use Uber or Taxify. Otherwise, you will end up paying minimum 3x normal fare. Prague cab drivers are crooks. It's mainly Visa/MC yes but you'll find some places that accept AmEx.
    Thanks for that advice.

But, i have no clue how to take a Uber.

Probably another dumb question, but do ATM's take personal Bank cards from the USA?(or does my Bank have to have Banks in that location?)
ATMs will take bank cards from anywhere assuming you have Visa/MC logo. Make sure you notify your bank in the US that you will be making withdrawals internationally so they don't shut down your card.

A good way to change Euro in the Czech Republic in Czech Kroner are the gas stations "Tank Ono".
They have 41 branches all over Czech Republic, of course in Prague, too.
As for now, they give you 25,1 Kroner for 1 Euro, and if you want to change back, they want 25,3 Kroner and you get 1 Euro.
So the spread is under 1%!
You can check their website www.tank-ono.cz (also in German and English language), where they always tell you the exchange rates.
Maybe this is a good option for you if you want Kroner for Euro.

Currently you shud get 20 CZK per 1 USD and 25 CZK per 1 EUR.

Beer is for 50 czk (2 euros) same as soft drinks or coffee. food in normal restaurant is cca 150-200 czk.
As you will spend in Prague roughly 48 hours you wont really get broke on these extras.

    Appreciate the Info.

50 czk for a Pivo? That better be tourist bar prices...Also one of the best places to break bills and sometimes use as a bank is a McDonalds. One of the few places you can pay with a large bill and have it broken and not have them think you are an ass.

Yeah 50Kc for a beer is a bit on the tourist price side lol. 35Kc is a bit closer to reality if you aren't thirsty somewhere in Old Town.

I made a lot of trips to Prague around 2010....Friends living there so it made it easy, their local bar down the street had .5L for 11-13Kc...Good times.

Pilsner Urquel is solid, but I wouldn't call it the best.... Personally I prefer Gambrinus when I am out and about in Prague, the working mans brew but I just like it more. The best beer I had in CZ was from the Budvar restaurant in Ceske Budejovice. They serve fresh, unpasteurized beer that they only keep for 2 days. Anything after that it gets dumped into the river.

PS If any of you new tourists have time the Staropramen brewery is in Prague and the tour is pretty quick and cheap, and you get about a half hour of beer tasting at the end. Or you could like out like I did on mine. Our guide got called away for some emergency after a few minutes, people ran out of beer so my friend and I decided to take action and kept pouring beers nonstop for the next 45 minutes until she returned. It was a good time for sure.

Only 236 tickets left for the Prague show- all behind the stage.
There is a good chance the show will sell out.
2006 and 2012 did not sell out (same Arena) and there were no seats behind the stage at all, so the demand for the 2018 show is much higher!

You just need to make friends with the locals :-). We can come bearing gifts to those in line...
