Recently picked up an unnumbered Benny. Apparently a promo copy? So if that counts, add me to the list!

It's in good hands! Spin the wine circle!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Warning for a few Benny's on Discogs, this seems like a scam.
Yesterday this seller was there under the name 'DavidPettittmusic'  today under the name 'Wandasakidmor'.
Today and yesterday i asked this person how the state was of the vinyl, he/she answered me that he/she would send me some photos of the box, poster and the vinyl.
I asked what the shipping cost would be to The Netherlands. The answer was that he/she would pay for it. It maked me laugh, shipping is almost the price what is asking for the box itself.
Both days he/she never came back to me again.

Does anyone legitimately think they could get a Benny for $80 on the up and up?

Yeah who knows. I definitly not, thata why i asked this person for some more pictures. On the other side i also do not always no what the value of some of mine vinyl is. About PJ i know it, but thats just about it.
I recently scored a original Chris Cornell Songbook vinyl for only 25 euro's ;)

No Benaroya, but before I was aware of how bad the fake listings had gotten on discogs, and a few drinks in me, I impulse bought a copy of GNR's Live Era on vinyl when I saw it on my wishlist.   I should of known better.  If it's too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

Hopefully discogs does something.  It's completely overrun with fake accounts who keep reposting valuable vinyl for way below market value.   If they don't figure out how to clean it up, I think people will move to another platform?

Unfortunatley I'm not sure posting peoples userid's from discogs matters.  It's whack o' mole right now.   So many scammers posting rarer items below market value to hook line and sinker people.   Discogs is overrun by it.  I hope they figure out how to filter it out.

I fell for a scammer on there a few months ago when they posted a copy of GNR's Live Era vinyl for 80 bucks.   Had a little scotch in me, checked my discogs notification before I went to bed, saw it, and bought it before I even thought about it.  Discogs was like. nothing we can do, file a report with paypal.   Paypal refunded it (even if it took a few weeks).

How long until paypal gets tired of refunding stuff from discogs.. lol.

The rule of thumb with Discogs, if a new user magically has your want items for a ridiculous price, it is a scam.  It is annoying, but I do not know why/how people are falling for this other than wishful thinking.  I can see being fooled with a Benaroya Box being listed for say $1,000.00, but $80? Come on.

Also, DO NOT PAY until you verify for new sellers.

That sucks! I haven't shopped over at discogs in a while. I see way too many new accounts popping up and many closing down in a few days.
