    I just saw a headline on msn.com:

    "Maynard debuts jewelry line"

And I was about to say: first wine, now jewelry? :fp: I give up!
But its some other Maynard.. some broad on reality shows I think.

check out the puscifer line of lip balm, sunscreen, belt buckle, dog toys and clothes, a woman's billfold, and a signed shooting target
You almost had me.. I thought it said woman's blindfold.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Adam Jones, guitarist for prog-metal band Tool, has posted a mysterious image to his Instagram account. The caption for the image is simply “#soon”. The picture looks like a snippet of something much larger and includes what looks like an eye and a heavily textured cheek. There are definite style nods to Alex Grey, who did Tool’s artwork for Lateralus and 10,000 Days, leading many to speculate that this may be artwork for the long-awaited new Tool record. However, it must be stressed that nothing is confirmed.

  • as much as i would love it to be the tool record, as of maybe 2 weeks ago the band said they werent finished recording or writing the new record. So its unlikely adam would have done or Alex Grey would have the artwork done already.

Actually most people seem to think its the long rumored The Pot video. Which of course is typical Tool. It took years for the video for Vicarious to be released. And so 7 years later maybe, the video for The Pot is coming out.

Another thought was that it was the artwork for the poster for upcoming shows

More bands and their limited edition crap! If Tool feels the need to jump on the reissue bandwagon, how about starting with repressing Aenima on vinyl or even releasing 10,000 Days on vinyl since they seem to be still so hung up on that album with the continued touring and the making of The Pot video.

I have the vinyl and CD of this EP so I doubt some new artwork will make me want another copy.

Tool has been one of my favorite bands since Undertow, but I'm sick on waiting for new material at this point. Too long between releases, too many other projects, and I just don't give a shit that MJK makes wine. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this, but damn. It's pretty hard to stay excited about a band when they don't do shit (not including these one off shows that are nowhere near me).
