I hope we do. I agree the band should stay somewhat up to date. As I mentioned in another thread, I think they probably placed their trust in people running the show and unfortunately, it turned out to be a mess. My only point with my initial response to boyo was that I disagree that Ed would brush this off if he knew about it. There's no debate about whether they should to something about this following what happened over the last few days. I hope at this point they will intervene.Spiritual_Chaos wrote:Suziemay wrote:I don't know what the band thinks, but I doubt that 10c runs every single statement they release by the band. Yes, ultimately 10c works for the band so they are accountable, but if Ed were involved I don't think he'd be okay with this.
Not much of a band if they don't stay updated. Even if 10c doesn't tell them, is it hard that to between surfing and plaing uke to check in here and just get a "vibe"?
I think we will get a statement from the band.
I don't see anything happen. 10c saying they will investigate the 'sabotage'. Yeah, that's likely to happen. It'll get swept under the carpet and never heard of from them again.
My point was not that Ed or the other guys would be happy with what has happened in the last 2 days but I find it hard to understand if they accept the explanation that 10c has provided. If this was my band, I'd want to know how ticket sales have gone. We know how hands-on Ed and Jeff are with albums designs, t-shirts etc. I find it hard to believe that not one member of Pearl Jam would know of the events this week. And if they believe the 'sabotage' excuse then....well Iets just say the 5 of them are alot more intelligent than that.2000: Manchester

People have written on McCReadys facebook page so he knows."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

I think we're both saying the same thing about what the band "should do", just we are expecting different outcomes. You don't see anything happening. I'm hopeful something will. Guess we'll see.boyo79 wrote:Suziemay wrote:

Things to consider:
-CrowdSurge has done high-demand ticket pre-sales before. I find it improbable that they could be told "we have an allocation of _ tickets for _ shows, and usually get _ people logging on within a period of _ minutes", and not know with certainty whether they can or can't handle the load
-The same statement is posted on CrowdSurge's website, as well as Ten Club's. To me, this is independent confirmation from both parties that something unusual has happened
-The term 'sabotage' is very juvenile, and almost immediately sounds laughable when a company 'suspects sabotage'. Especially when that company is a band's fan club. That said, the very real DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack is one where there is an attempt to make a site become unreliable (think many computers simultaneously pressing refresh - almost like an extreme and intentional version of what we see when we crash Ten Club's servers)
-If this was a DDoS attack, this is a legal issue, and I would assume that an investigation would occur. If this is the case, would the fan club or CrowdSurge be disclosing information to the public on the matter?'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2
