Bologna 2006, 10C tix, 2nd row in front of Eddie, the band began with "Elderly woman" and people started waving around in all directions, we thought we could collapse to ground at any moment and I thought to myself: "What's gonna happen at the first massive song?".
"Do the evolution" followed and it was the end of my 2nd row...
It took me half the song (approx. 2 minutes) to reach to the side (approx. 15 meters)
I guess I'll never forget the terror in the eyes of a very young girl whom I helped to find a way through the people...
From that day I decided that a 3rd-4th row in front of Mike or Stone is fair enough to me...

Italian crowds going nuts? another thing that must happen for PJ only
that is why I definitely want front row. I shall hold onto my rail and we will not be separated.
nope. I'm a front row nerd, I freely admit it. For my 6 US foo shows, I only didn't get front row one time (it was second row, just because security fucked us over when going in). I want to be up close to where it all happens as possible.
If you wanna be where the action is, you should stay away from front row imo. Look at youtube; most of the time the front row people just stand there and nod their head. Reason is; when in the front row, you can't feed of the energy of the audience, since they're all behind you, and you really have no idea what the atmosphere is back there. At least, that's how I've experienced front row. If you wanna be where the action is, fall back to 4-5 row. That's where I'll be .

9:30 am..11 hours before the show starts 300 freaks was there..already..
1st row my ass..only brisk can run that steps..
It's what you sike up for all day, that big run up n down the steps. Ya I dragged Marjolein with me, but she was with German Laura and they were being slow so I just went
Edit - Berlin 2010 was bove
Berlin 09 ya was about that time, was good though Ed gave me his lighter.
Showed up around noon for the last Berlin show. I didn't join the actual queue until a while later as we preferred to hang out in the sun for a while and still made 2nd row. And that was only because I let a smaller person stand in front of me. I just kind of ended up there and didn't push and shove my way to the front like so many people seem to do. But then again I don't really care much for stage center and usually go for a spot on mike's side and it's far easier to get closer to the front there.
I've never been one of the really early birds and can't remember a single time where I ended up further back than 6th or 7th row.
