PJ Manchester extra night

I don't want to go to the always-worse-than-the-second-night first gig at Manchester, if a second one is announced. But then can I really risk not buying tickets for night 1 tomorrow? Then you factor in 10c's no refund policy, it gets really fucked up in situations like this.
It's not being mr moaner, it's called being smart, logical and just the best thing to do..0 -
I'm conflicted... If there aren't extra nights I'd like to do Amsterdam, but if extra nights are announced it'd be quite nice to save some annual leave and money by cutting Amsterdam out.
At the mo I'm leaning towards not believing the rumours....Paul

+1
+2. And this time it's not even the only show in Northern Europe like previous times.225xxx - 6/28/00, 10/20/01, 10/22/01, 9/11/06, 9/22/06, 9/23/06, 6/18/07, 6/26/07, 8/15/09, 6/25/10, 6/30/10, 7/4/12, 7/5/12, 7/7/12, 7/10/12, 6/26/14, 6/28/14, 7/3/18, 7/5/180 -

Pros of skipping Amsterdam
- Save a few days of annual leave (I want to go to India towards the end of the year, so it'll go to good use)
- Save a bunch of money by not having that week travelling round Europe (could spend it partying in Berlin)
- Common sense says worst comes to worst Amsterdam may get 1 or 2 songs at most that don't appear somewhere in the other shows (not the end of the world)
- 4 PJ gigs is still good innings.
Cons
- Zippodrome looks cool
- A week in europe would be fun.
- Amsterdam is nicely spaced between the other shows (so no tour fatigue)
Pros far outweigh cons. I'm trying to be rational!!!!!Post edited by Pauk onPaul

It's simple enough for me
If there's gonna be 2 night in Manchester i'm happy with it
No need (well,there always is
) for more shows. If there's gonna be only one night, then Amsterdam is more likely going to happen for me

Thinking Manchester as can hop on train from London. Not sure I fancy festivals and the hassle of Isle of Wight so will then think Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. 4 scandic nights, 3 shows. I can see your thinking... but I'm not sure that the first night is always worse with PJ. Thinking about some of the classic back-to-back gigs they have done over the years, not always, but very often it is the first show that outshines the 2nd.
I've never been lucky enough to attend back-to-back shows, but I thnk the general consensus about shows like NYC '03 and Gorge '06, is that the 1st shows were the best. Of course, the reverse has also been true in other instances... but I don't think we can be certain that the 2nd show will necessarilly be better.
Must admit, I would love to attend both... like somebody else mentioned, it's a fairly rare opportunity for us in Europe.London #1 2000, Reading 2006, London 2007, London 2009, London 2010, Manchester #1 2012, Manchester #2 2012, Manchester 2012 (EV), Milton Keynes 2014, London #2 2017 (EV), London #1 2018, London #2 2018, London #1 2022, London #2 2022, Manchester 2024.0 -
