Just like another beloved member of the board, this was my late father's favorite movie.. and I always watch it at least once(thanks to TBS usually more than that) around this time of year.. the past two years it has become one of the most enjoyable moments of the holiday.. It just reminds me of the sound of my dad's laughter..

Do you guys have a christmas tradition that reminds you of the ones who cannot be there?

Opening up gifts among family on Christmas Eve. Always brings me back to Christmas Eve at my grandparent's house. Now it's held at my parent's house. The gifts we open on Christmas Day are "from Santa".

Classic movie. Watch it every year on Christmas morning with my parents and brother.

My entire family would go to my grandfather's house on my dad's side of the family every Christmas Eve. He's been gone for 8 years and I miss him and I miss going over every Christmas Eve and every Wednesday night for pasta dinner.

My dads favorite Christmas movie is "Die Hard"

He's still alive, but I'm not always around my parents at the holidays, so sometimes I'll watch it at Christmas and think of him.

My favorite Christmas movie is "Lethal Weapon" :P :P
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
  • Chistmas story is One of my favorites along with christmas vacation. christmas story was so well done though eh ? I mean it really seems like it was filmed back in the 50's ... Wasn't until a couple years ago that i found out it was made in 1981.
  • I've never watched A Christmas Story. I'm pretty sure that means I'm anti-America, right? :)

Ralphies a bitch. He fucking cries the whole movie. And if I was Flick, I would have fought him after school for leaving me hanging on the pole.

    God I love this movie.

I used to really love this movie when it was only played a few times on HBO back in the 80s and 90s and nobody really heard of it.

Still love it, but it gets over done.

I think Ralphie lives here...he produced a play/musical version of the movie.
