and the brief whisps of crisp cool 60 degree weather once in awhile...

Oh I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about xmas...not labor day

    ;)

    haha, good catch. ;)
I almost forgot to mention.. (I was being a bit sarcastic at 60 degrees, it actually got in the 40's last year for a few days in January! Cold for Florida..) But the lack of cold is what makes it tough to get in the holiday spirit sometimes. I've been to the beach on X-mas. Some reason, Jesus or Santa must've been a surfer..There are always good waves on X-mas. :D

    Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas!
Love this one. Makes me think of my mom because she got me to watch as a kid. Not too many people know about it.

    Need to see Bad Santa.

I love being by myself in the car listening to the Southpark Christmas album.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Watching Bad Santa is a yearly ritual for me around the holidays.

Im thinking of trying something new like making a drink called "hot apple pie" with everclear, goldschlager, apple schnapps. Give the gift of Holiday Spirit to everyone. Or just happily toasted. Im just wondering of its illegal to ship to family members.

Truman Capote's story "A christmas Memory". I love this story.

The movie, which in part is narrated by Capote in is great too. I'm lucky to have found a VHS copy years ago but you can see it on Youtube as well:

    Mmmmmm.... Pete....

    **snaps back to reality**

Pull out the sofabed downstairs, plenty of pillows and duvets, cosy up with my daughter, mulled wine/mulled cider and go through the Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended version). That is the start of my two-week holiday. Gets me more in the mood than decorations, etc.
