    Follow some better entities then. cnn, daily beast, breakingnews, gizmodo, slashdot. if you have smartphone, install the twitter app and then open it when you want to see your feed. I'll hear any major piece of news earlier on twitter than anywhere else. Its the first thing I open in the morning to see if anyone died, any new wars breaking out, anything crazy happened overnight.
