Does anybody know what Eddie said at the end of Alive? "What a great way to make a … “ ... make a what??? :) As well, what does he say at the end up Fuckin' up/beginning of Indifference? Something about one last toast ??

Joined the pit to try to shed some light on your question!

I was 10th row floor centre - and what I saw was Stone first look over at Boom who had a smoke dangling out of his mouth behind the keys, and then Stone walked over to Ed, and must have told him something about Boom becuase I saw Ed look at Boom when he started laughing....but then again I was drunk, smoking and laughing too!

I guess I should add that of the dozen times I've seen them, the Toronto 2 gig really stands out because its the only other time since their second day 92 Lollapolloza set at Pine Knob in Michigan that I saw the entire band have that much fun through a whole show!

I'm betting night 2 at the Gorge will top the tour.....see any and all y'all there!

From the center section of the floor it looked as though Boom was engulfed in this massive cloud of smoke and wavered around a bit- I thought he might be taking a tok- then Eddie looks over and started laughing hysterically...at the end Ed runs over and is taking a drag, everyone laughing and he gets down with a cigarette in his hand dancing around...

The show was so fkn fun.
got a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

yep, it was one for the books. Great set and I loved all of the improv and tags thrown in throughout the night.

Useless piece of trivia: Eddie was wearing the same shirt (Love and Rockets) during this show that he wore during the September Toronto show. Guess there wasn't any time to unpack when they came off the road in Dec!

Here are some pics from both Toronto shows. I haven't had time to really go through them and take out the not so great ones but that's all of 'em. Both nights from row 5 infront of Mike.

Im surprised NO ONE has brought up RVM!! Holy fuck, due to my isp and my limited amount of download availablity Im finally down to MOTH but holy fuck RVM!! RVM!! WOW!!
The 'I will forgive' tag at the beginning of the jam, and then during the jam itself when Matt has a nice groove/beat going and the audience is clapping with the beat, and Ed or Stone or Mike has some note playing that its just wow, *shivers*

While Tuesday's show was good, they seemed a little tight. You know... kicking off the world tour jitters & all.
But Wednesday....... holy shit!!!!!! They came out & just totally kicked ass.
Right from the get go the energy was completely different from the night before.
It was the.... well the first show is out of the way.... let's giv'er!!!!!!
It just might be the best show I've ever seen them do.
It's deffinately a show that should be a dvd. I had a vantage point that only 40 or so others had.
I was front row for both shows!!!!! Pretty much centred too!
They were all just having fun up there. It was spectacular!
I hope before they end their tour, they come back thru here.
Give us T.O fans another 2 shows. ( That would be awsome)

The only negitive for the 2 nights was the fight outside the ACC.
Over a t-shirt, too much drinking & a pre-madonna bitch who decided to cry wolf when security got involved.

To the guy who got the worst of it from over zealous wanna be cops:
I hope that you're okay man!!!!!!!!
Man..... I wish I could put a Pearl Jam pic in here as my siggie!!!! LMFAO!!

I think it worked out in the end

we gave witness statements to security and the police actually called us about 1 am to confirm everything

I think they figured out that the little shrimpkin yelling guy was a turd hat - the whole thing was like something from jerry springer - which is where that couple belonged

they were right in front of the mmj bus as well

I was so shocked to see that at a pearl jam show - we folks just aren't like that are we!

you know the schmuck guy came after us too for making a comment?

I was really upset with security too - the guy they went after was just a young guy who had been to a great show - they really took him down hard

It was kind of a wierd night. Some dude a few rows over from me started pissing in the crowd. Security took him down and worked him over pretty good. He disapeared during Even Flow, then he showed up during Crazy Mary, dancing in the aisle with his head wrapped in gauze. He was doing some interpretive dance, when he fell down 10-15 steps. Finally security lifted him out of there.

Listening to the boot I can only now appreciate just how solid this version of RVM is for this show. Probably the best I've heard.

  • Does anybody have any video from the second show in Toronto?

Now that I have figured out about google video, I have a few very short video clips that I hope to put up by the weekend. I had camera issues at the show so my videos suck -- they are very short (just seconds here and there) and I'm not very steady, as I'm rockin' out :D -- but I enjoy them anyway (especially catching the tail end of the McCready/Boom jam during Crazy Mary, complete with the hi-5).

I'm hoping that there are others out there with more lengthy videos.

Thanks so much for Indifference/YL. That's great. I had many problems with my camera throughout the night, so I am grateful for those. Thank you.

Here are a a couple of mine. Like I said, the quality is shite, I had technical difficulties (so they are very short), and my seats aren't nearly as great as O'Briley's, but I like 'em because they encapture my experience at the concert. It's a real shame. My camera kept shutting off throughout the show, especially during key moments (E.g., BLACK). It sucked. But at least there are some shots of the show. I apologize for the unsteady camera, as I was totally rockin' out, and not really focussing on filming, and, like I said, my seats are much further back. That's why I hoped that others had vids. Mine suck! :p I thought I'd share anyway.

The first is the tail end of the McCready/Boom jam during Crazy Mary. If you check out the far right side you can see the Hi-5. Personally, all my shite videos were worth it for the slight glimpse of the Hi-5. To me, that Hi-5 represented how that evening had gone. It kicked ass! (That may be me screaming. sorry! Hehe. :p)

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6724933713013078006

Next is a 10 sec bit from Elderly Woman ...

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6978014504388770658

Next is a short clip of Jeremy. It's very short, but I enjoy watching McCready act like the bad ass that he is, on the left side, (man, you do not realize how much I am pissed at my technical difficulties during the night ... I would have liked to have captured so much more). Fuck, I love McCready!

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-101194422178686117

And finally, Black. Again, very short and my camera shut off at the climax, AND, my steadiness sucked (I was excited), but what can you do.

As sad as those videos are, I had a few more that aren't even worth sharing. :(

Thanks for the kind words about the videos, I hope that all the fans that were captured in my videos get a chance to see themselves thats a big reason why I shared it on google. I must say it was a little tough trying to stay still and get steady video images especially during RITFW thats one of my fav all time PJ covers, but I certainly made up for it rockin out like crazy for the second show.

It has taken me far far to long to get to my fanview, especially for such a spectacular show. This was a sweet day for me, and my fiance...very memorable and special :)

It started at the Loose Moose. I was at the fundraising table, doing my thing. The kind gentleman who won the May 9th auction for the autographed place/date book came to the table to pick up his prize for the auction the night before. After the exchange, he hands me some tickets in his TC envelope. Offers them to me for cover, they are 7th row floor seats. Right smack in front of Mike. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to see PJ from so close. Brian, if you're out there, THANK YOU! I actually thought about it for a while, then I bought the tickets (it was a finance thing!). I donated my tickets (which were far from crappy, Sec 109 Row 15) to the CCFC fundraiser, and helped another guy improve his seats.

This was the start to an amazing day/night. The performance was so incredible. Low Light was awsome. The improv about Toronto was a good touch. Whipping kicked ass. The entire setlist was great! I Got Shit with that Cinnamon Girl bit was awsome. I was shocked when I heard Boom break into Wasted Reprise to open the 1st Encore, thought it would never ever be played live. Man of the Hour to follow, great combination! Finally got to hear SOLAT, and it was great. The 2nd encore was something else. Go was energy filled as always, and I was hoping to hear it. Crazy Mary was just awsome, Boom and Mike ripped it up. The wine bottle being passed around. The Beast of Burden tag was so amazing, thanks for posting that video O'Briely! I love it. The whole night was something special. Got a guitar pick from Mike about half way through the show, and was on cloud nine.

From the CCFC Fundraiser starting at 3:00, until things wound up around midnight, I just had an unbelievable time. I really feel like an idiot for not bringing my camera. I guess believing what the tickets tell you is the wrong way to go! I should have read the Camera policy here, that's what you get for assuming!

I left out a bunch of stuff, but im still really busy at work and trying to catch up. I must listen to the bootleg again now!

  • Great Show. I was there. I only wish I appreciated Unemployable, Marker in the Sand, and Severed Hand more when I was there. I was kind of hoping they'd play a bit more from No Code, and I memorized so much before I went there. But the power was fantastic. Only problem with the band was on some of the new songs, ed's voice sounded a little squeaky.
