Music direct cancelled my order yesterday.
Collector's Choice cancelled a few days ago.
Soundstage direct cancelled
Keeping my fingers crossed for Amazon

My last chance is my local record store where they reserved a copy for me, but even that seems unlikely now.

    Also for people who ordered from Deep Discount - I got that response when I emailed to ask about it so it you haven't heard anything, doesn't mean you got it (but that goes without saying with any of these retailers at this point!)

    I know this is not the vinyl but I tried to order two bottles of faithful ale on the Marina Market website the other day and got this yesterday

    My order from Soundstage got cancelled but I ordered one through 10 Club and it should be arriving any day now.

    Maybe this is a dumb question, but why is everyone so concerned the major retailers won't fulfill their orders? I know it's unnerving when all the smaller Internet stores cancel their orders, but it seems like there would've been enough foresight and coordination by the big dogs to plan for the demand and/or not oversell the record, right? Then again, maybe I'm just being overly optimistic. (I only have one on order from Amazon)

    I think the issue is all the stores thought they were getting a certain amount but they are now being told that Sony is only giving them 1/3 of what they thought they were getting. That's what I saw in another thread anyway. So not that the store itself goofed.

    I see. It does sound possible that the little guys didn't get theirs in order to fill the bug guys' orders since no one has heard anything from B&N or Amazon. I am determined to stay optimistic here!

    I ordered from B&N today for the heck of it, and they sent me 2 emails, an order confirmation and a "shipping" confirmation (confirming it will ship on 12/13). I will believe it when I see it!! :D

    you aren't the only one....slowing creeping back up the sales rank...back up from 168 to 149...not up to the 23 level that it achieved after i ordered one....
