i always get dinged LP's in the mail - everyone uses the (12") LP mailers that fit too tight on the edges, then the covers arrives banged up.

They DO make 14.5" LP mailers, they cost about the same - they protect the record far better, no more dinged corners. I dont know why no one uses these...?

My assumption is that the package is going to get tossed around in transit, the machines are going to slide them and bang them around, and thats where most damage occurs to the corners...not to mention if it is ever dropped, the most likely point of impact is a corner.

If you're getting vinyl like that then maybe you should consider buying vinyl from someone else. I've never had such problems, and I buy vinyl online all the time.

I ordered the PJ20 vinyl as well as the backspacer vinyl. Both arrived in the same box with NO bubble wrap. Both have dinged corners and the sleeves containing the vinyl have creases. I was dissapointed but not surprised due to the lack of bubble wrap. These are the first I've ever ordered and wasn't sure what to expect. The vinyl itself is ok so it is what it is I guess.

Dinged corners are always possible and likely whenever shipping records...as long as the records themselves are fine and playable, why worry?

Playable? You mean people actually open records and PLAY them? ;)
