it's shipped in a heavy plastic bag
 then the cardboard shipper
 some buble wrap
and of course the plastic wrap around the product81 is now off the air 0 0

My Benaroya Hall box came with a good size dent on it. The wax was fine though. I thought about asking for a replacement, but instead just look at it as personalized. It's one of a kind baby. Enjoy your album.0

Just got mine in Philly, perfect condition, great packaging job by 10 club, I would imagine the blame may be on the local post office if it's dinged as you mentioned.0

Mine came the same...and it was in perfect condition. My boyfriend and I actually discussed how impressed we were with the packaging job. Sorry to hear about those who received theirs in less-than-perfect condition."I am myself...like you, somehow."0

They DO make 14.5" LP mailers, they cost about the same - they protect the record far better, no more dinged corners. I dont know why no one uses these...?
My assumption is that the package is going to get tossed around in transit, the machines are going to slide them and bang them around, and thats where most damage occurs to the corners...not to mention if it is ever dropped, the most likely point of impact is a corner.
If you're getting vinyl like that then maybe you should consider buying vinyl from someone else. I've never had such problems, and I buy vinyl online all the time.0

I ordered the PJ20 vinyl as well as the backspacer vinyl. Both arrived in the same box with NO bubble wrap. Both have dinged corners and the sleeves containing the vinyl have creases. I was dissapointed but not surprised due to the lack of bubble wrap. These are the first I've ever ordered and wasn't sure what to expect. The vinyl itself is ok so it is what it is I guess.United Center-Jun 29 1998 Alpine Valley-Oct 8 2000

Dinged corners are always possible and likely whenever shipping records...as long as the records themselves are fine and playable, why worry?Admin @ Vinyl Collective: Vinyl Record Collector Community and Forum

Playable? You mean people actually open records and PLAY them?jhulud wrote:Dinged corners are always possible and likely whenever shipping records...as long as the records themselves are fine and playable, why worry? "I am myself...like you, somehow."0 "I am myself...like you, somehow."0
