Did anyone else receive their PJ20 vinyls with dinged corners, or sleeves ripped because the record pushed through? It almost looks like mishandling where they made them. hmmm...

Thanks, they said they shipped it last week, hopefully this week. I can't wait as I never bought the CD version, hopefully they will fix your item up for you OP, as the club is very good about customer service. Though with all these post offices now closing I hope the carriers are not taking their anger out on our stuff :D

Mine was in a thick pink bubble wrap, also mint. No chance of it being beaten up.

I'm sure mine will have the same issue when I get it. I'd say about half of the vinyl I've gotten from the ten club has had damage to the package, thankfully the records were never damaged.

i always get dinged LP's in the mail - everyone uses the (12") LP mailers that fit too tight on the edges, then the covers arrives banged up.

They DO make 14.5" LP mailers, they cost about the same - they protect the record far better, no more dinged corners. I dont know why no one uses these...?

My assumption is that the package is going to get tossed around in transit, the machines are going to slide them and bang them around, and thats where most damage occurs to the corners...not to mention if it is ever dropped, the most likely point of impact is a corner.
  • Got mine in Denver, CO today. I was impressed with how well mine was packaged - bubble wrap in cardboard sleeve in plastic wrap, stamped FRAGILE. Must take a pretty substantial goof-up somewhere to bang up the album. Sorry to hear about yours but I thought 10C did a good job packaging these compared to, say, the holiday single.

It came packed really well like you said but maybe the post man just tossed it around to where the records cut through the sleeves. One of the records has a big mark on it. It looks like someone took a pencil eraser and tried to draw a triangle. I'm thinking this might not have been the post man's fault. I haven't played it yet to see if that mark makes a difference in the sound yet. I'll let it spin tomorrow.

Same, but not just from 10C. Just a hazard with heavy vinyl sometimes I guess. Corner dings suck.

They tried to draw a triangle on the record? That is crazy! :o

    then the cardboard shipper

    some buble wrap

and of course the plastic wrap around the product

My Benaroya Hall box came with a good size dent on it. The wax was fine though. I thought about asking for a replacement, but instead just look at it as personalized. It's one of a kind baby. Enjoy your album.

Just got mine in Philly, perfect condition, great packaging job by 10 club, I would imagine the blame may be on the local post office if it's dinged as you mentioned.

Mine came the same...and it was in perfect condition. My boyfriend and I actually discussed how impressed we were with the packaging job. Sorry to hear about those who received theirs in less-than-perfect condition.
