THANK YOU SO MUCH! The most amazing surprise arrived yesterday.
Here’s the story…
Very early Saturday morning, I received a PM from Lukinfan reminding me to check my mail before the holiday weekend. Right before heading out for New Year’s Eve, I stopped by my mailbox to find a poster tube waiting for me. My first thought was “no way – they couldn’t have found it.” In my car, I quickly opened one end of the tube to find a note from Lukinfan and an envelope containing Mike and Stone picks. As I looked into the tube, I said “Holy Shit” as I saw the edge of my holy grail – the poster from the 1998 Chicago concert (my first PJ show!). It was the most incredible surprise.
All I can say is THANK YOU so much. You would not believe how awesome it feels to have so many people go out of their way to do something so amazing for you. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to fund my holy grail, to everyone who bumped the thread and kept it alive, and to the people who helped track down the poster. THANK YOU to everyone who make the 10C such an amazing place.
I will post pictures as soon as I am back at home (we have been away from home with friends so I have yet to even see the entire poster yet). The poster will then by making at trip to the framer so that it can be proudly displayed.
Thank you again to everyone who made this happen.
Happy New Year!
Awesome! It's funny, but it's exciting for us too! Stoked you got it ok.
This is so wonderful...round & round it goes...
Jason, you were the very first to really do something kind & amazing for me here.
Someone very new to 10c & not knowing me at all.
You sent me a copy of the St Louis setlist, which I appreciated so very much & I wondered
to myself how on earth I could ever pass it along back to you. LukinFan, , dropped the
opportunity right in my lap.
The more I'm here or finding new friends on FB, the more I see how much a group of people
brought together by a common bond can bring peace, laughter & happiness to one another.
Thanks....& enjoy!!

the best part of being a part of this is the feeling after seeing the response. I can go to bed smiling ear to ear now and its because of Jason's response. Wait, that didn't sound right but I think you all know what I mean. Enjoy it all Jason.

Ok I will come clean... I am the person that sold the poster. I just want to say that I am so glad that Jason loves this print. It was one of my favorites in my collection. I also think it's great how some of you give a little to make someone so happy. I remember back in 99 I was looking for a Prague 96 and searched forever to get one. I remember opening the tube and it was like xmas morning when I finally tracked one down.
I would like to thank a guy named Robley who contacted me on expressobeans. He is a great guy and since talking to him we have developed a nice friendship. People like him and all of you that contributed and made this happen are unfortunately far and few. It's great to know that people are still willing to make people smile even though they have never seen their face.
I have just about every print from 1996-2010 (I will list them on here soon. Please no PMs until then). Things in my life have changed since I started collecting way back in the day and I unfortunately am going to sell 99% of my collection. I am glad to pass on my prints to someone that really enjoys them.
I hope everyone had a great holiday and again...thanks so much for making this happen.

Happy to respond to any 'grail' PM and assist -- often dont check into the board or scour for certain topics as much as I could/should/would. Love being a part of this group....on the plane back from VT to Philly Sunday and a woman tells me 'Your Shirt is Awesome' and on the connecting flight from Philly to LA a guy slaps my shoulder and says 'Love your shirt' as he walks down the aisle.
My wife turns to me and says 'I cannot believe that every time we travel you get this -- how many of 'you' are there out there!'
SO many!
The shirt was an Avacado tour shirt -- I went to the tour, didnt buy a shirt but of course was able to trade for one on this site. You all rock, Happy New Year!
The last thing I want to do is burn people out on these. I personally think we should let Jason enjoy his grail for a little bit and then we can start up another. What does everyone think?

I think you are a wise man Doing it too frequently will also take away from how special this is, plus we might end up raising less funds each time and not really achieve the intent of the Holy Grail, which is to be able to afford the Holy Grail.

I'll donate to any and all Grail quests. It's cheaper than smoking, and much more fulfilling!
whos next..hehe...maybe is already one happening....
and yes,let Jason chooce the next ...
