That was such a good night, a real fans show! thouroughly enjoyred every song they played. bloody long road had me in tears before the show really started. i was so happy to hear newer material live...
come back soon!0 -
i must have been the only fan at the wembley gig who could not clap, i broke my wrist 24 hourse earlier. in pain i left home for the gig.
painkillers, man, you don't need em if you go watch and listen to this band. my first ever gig, it was awesome. what a band!
pj fans are something else, so friendly and kind. my daughter lives in seattle and has never seen pj, i now have one up on her and have told her she has musical heaven right on her doorstep, if only i can convince her to enter.
what is is with seattle? from hendrix to pj, the city rocks. thank you band for a great gig, england and the world loves you.pearl jam is not to be spread on bread or toast. it should be ingested through the ears, or injected directly into the brain. it may also enter the soul in a somewhat spritual way. amen0 -

touts are not all bad. sometimes they will cut you a deal. to be honest, i blame fans who sell spares to touts. they should only sell them to pj fans.meme wrote:Well, since you bring this up...
I've had to get rid of my 10c extra so I posted an announcement here. Face value, of course. 4 people answered. I committed the ticket to this guy... tom. PJ21 or something like that. He asked first. Big mistake. Always go for the people with the most posts. I also got the numbers of the other three in case the deal fell through. We agree with Tom two days before the gig that we'd talk the day of the gig between 3 and 4, as that was the time I was expecting to arrive at the arena. I give him my number, he gives me his. So I call Tom at 3. No answer. I text him. No answer. I text him again, no answer. I call again (from my US cell phone, roaming charges of one buck per minute). I finally find him at 5:30. At first he doesn't even understand who I am and then he said "oh that... I can't make it anymore". I just said "bye" but what I really wanted to say (Tom, this is for you if you are reading) was: fuck you tom, you inconsiderate asshole. Couldn't you fucking call me or pm me you piece of shit? I tried calling the other numbers, left messages to no avail.
A few minutes later a "tout" walks by looking for spares. I say I have one, ask for the 45 pounds it costs, he gives me 30. I would not have done it but I really didn't want to remain with the ticket unsold. After my efforts on the board and in the line I have no qualms. Sure I hate scalpers, but stupid inconsiderate fans are just as bad.

that furry thing was not stuffed. it was a live ferret. i swear! eddie was just showing that he's more of a man than freddy starr and ozzy osbourne.Peter C wrote:I was next to you when you threw the stuffed animal at Ed,didn't expect him to shove it down his pants tho.pearl jam is not to be spread on bread or toast. it should be ingested through the ears, or injected directly into the brain. it may also enter the soul in a somewhat spritual way. amen0

I have never experienced something that amazing and moving at a gig before, simply beautifully incredible.
I could not stop smiling or singing, one of the best experiences of my life.

In case anyone is really interested, my brother and I were able to hear the soundcheck, so for us freaks who must know all about a show, the songs they soundchecked in full were:
Marker in the Sand
Ghost
Nothing as it seems

finally ed gets off his ass and mixes it up (with less avacado)Let's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken0 -
it's been a while since the show actually. but I only now have time to post anything.
loved, loved, loved the show. amazing setlist.. but unfortunately for the casual fans, it was definitely a fan club show.
nonetheless, good good times. I was glad to notice that the floor (even at the quite front) wasn't as squishy as I had feared earlier.
I have to say that I did enjoy the Düsseldorf show better.. not only because I made to the 2nd row, although that played a large part.
I'm very tired now so I'm gonna have to post more later."Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."0 -

after I have survived Dusseldorf as well... wanted to let everyone who was in Wembley know that I had a great time in the pitch with all the other 10clubbers!
They should have done that in Dusseldorf as well, for it would have kept out those people who just stand still and only start moving when a Ten-Song is played, jeesh...
The setlist just makes me cry still: Crazy Mary is ALWAYS a knockout, just like Inside Job (Mike is just a genuis!) or Do the Evolution And it was great to hear Present tense again! It has been a while...
'though i am a bit disappointed that they didn't play No Way - AGAIN. Will they ever play that again? I am almost ready to make a request poster...

Well what can I say, what an amazing show, was my daughters first ever concert and shes got the bug, saving up for going to America when they tour there next.
Must say though we got 10c tickets and queued from 11.30 and when the show started we were pushed around alot, didnt expect such a rough moshpit at a pj concert, what happened to pj love does it not exist in the first few rows, we then had to battle our way further back, which really dissapointed my daughter as she wanted to give ed a sign she made, ta to the guys that tried to get it to them, well she put it under the bed for next time.
Aside from that its rather depressing now its over, it was the most amazing experience of my life.hows life treating u? better yet, how r u treating life?0 -
I don't have time to post much right now because i'm in an internet cafe in Copenhagen....
But OH MY GOD! What an amazing show this was! I thought Release would open, but hearing the opening notes of Long Road was just magical.
Stunning show, i'll post more when i'm back home."This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -
I just read through the whole thread and I think everything's been said by now, but whatever. Wembley was The Greatest Night ever, thanks to not only the band but also to all of you who were there. The atmosphere was awesome. And the setlist was very, very good... Long Road, Faithful, Present Tense, Grievance, Immortality, I Got Shit, Crazy Mary, Inside Job and Indifference all during the same night!! I was expecting a special show with the 10C floor and all - and certainly wasn't disappointed. The acoustics was poor? It might have been, but seriously I didn't even notice that..
Everyone thought the band would start with Release, but Long Road was a perfect opener. After hearing it live I love the song even more. And Down, I've never been a big fan of that song until Wembley, now I listen to it all the time.Leeds 25/08/06

Just have to say that Ed completely shone vocally for this gig.
I mean try the way he sings Low Light. Wow.
