That's a good question. Easily one of his best posters! I think because it's for South America. If it was the US or Canada, it would have done sold out the first day.

I love it! And now I'm tempted to go ahead and buy it.

my guess is that people don't care about the SN

and they're counting on the 10c to sell em

    i think it's a great poster too...

just waiting to get it for 37.50

If it's a show I attended, I have no problem with show edition. But if not, I prefer the s/n from the artist. Not sure why. Sometimes, depending on the artist, the s/n isn't much more.

That's true, I have a buddy I met at PJ20 who lives in Curitiba and bought me a show poster and after shipping to the US, it's just a little cheaper than the S/N one. Doesn't matter really too much to me if it's show or S/N as long as it's in good condition.

agree..no see any point to get a s/n poster..only band signed poster are important for me

the only time i would get a s/n poster is if i thought it was going to be a very very popular print and i might miss out on a regular version

i have a sn print framed and you actually can't see the sig

is this normal... or did my wife use a framer who, while very good, isn't experienced with rock prints??

Good point. But if it's not a show I've been too...I'd prefer the AP. Show editions to me hold more sentimental and personal value.

I think the reason it's not sold out yet, despite it's awesomeness, is that people have just straight up forked out too much money on PJ merch this year...

I love the poster, and I love Brad's work, but I didn't buy one cause, well, let's look at what I've spent on PJ merch this year:

    PJ20 Back pack
    BS White Vinyl
    Bootlegs from 3 Canadian Shows
    Tickets to 4 Canadian Shows
2 posters for all 4 shows
S/N Varients for 2 of the 4 PJ Shows I was at
2 t-shirts (one of which I never received as a board member took my money and hasn't logged in again since promising to ship me the tshirt... and has ignored txt messages and multiple emails)
    PJ20 Klausen Poster
    PJ20 CD and Vinyl....

I could keep going, but I think you get my point.... and that list doesn't even include plane tickets and hotels for my trip to Canada...

The only 2 posters I want that I didn't get this year are the Sperry and the Emek... I want to spring for this poster, but I think, due to all the spending I need to start drawing some lines... Sorry Brad... I gotta wait for the 37.50 version...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
  • 60 bucks is to much for a poster, thats why.

Hey now! Not all wifes are bad.
  • Yeah, I bought the Buenos Aires and Curtibia when they first appeared. The variants sold out in seconds. Couldn't get a varient which was actually cool, because I like the originals better anyway. Still bothers me that most of the variants are being flipped on e-bay. Both of those posters are my favorites so far out of the 2011 posters. I can't believe they are still available! I received the s/n and the signatures are really difficult to see. If the posters don't sell out quickly when they are up in the goods section then I probably will regret buying them for 60. If you buy the 2 posters they will only charge you once for shipping.

Anyone figure out the "image" or "inspiration" behind it? I can make out an "Owl" feathery type thing w/ the main red that wraps the front and possible eyes at the bottom, and the little figures up top.. But, I'm trying to wrap my head around it.. And figured I'd use a lot of time looking at it once it's framed in my man-loft, lol.. But other opinions and thoughts are welcome on such a unique piece.. :D

  • I agree with most of you here, 10c sale is coming so way spend extra if you don't care to have AP.
I did both this one because is my favorite of the year and I got MUNK, that's it, the rest I am waiting for 10c sale.
I try to buy one Ames but his shipping 34$ and 60$ was just too much when you can get one for 41$ (international shipping ;) )
And I am sure the most of them are not going to be sold out here either, maybe Sperry and Emek that's it.

So...10c bring the posters up ;)

Unless it is signed on the extreme edge, I think you need to find a new wife...errr... I mean framer.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Ha!

Munk One usually signs his stuff up on the poster, and uses great ink.

It really depends on how close they signed it to the edge of the paper...

I have atleast 2 AP's on the wall that have the signature covered up cause it's so close to the edge... I find Ames and Methane studios are the worst for that... Emek and JH are usually the best at signing it somewhere it can be seen... Munk One is pretty good about it too... I wish Brad would start signing stuff in a nice bright metallic pen instead of that pencil... usually the pencil is so light you can barely see his signature....

  • Meh. That poster (and a good amount of his work, in general) does nothing for me. It looks like a Horkey knockoff. Perhaps there's something tied into SA there, but i'm not sensing it.
  • I like the poster. Before I saw it, I was hoping that since Ames did the Pele poster for brazil that they would do a Diego Maradona poster, seeing that Maradona was a far better player, and won every concievable futbol championship that mattered.

Off topic slightly, when you purchase a poster at a show do they have them ready to go in tubes or should you bring a poster tube to be safe?

PJ shows now have tubes for purchase. But it didn't use to be that way. Some venues let you bring in tubes, some don't.
  • I wasn't at the show so there is no point to buy it.
